The OutStay team takes your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we collect and use your data.

1. Data We Collect

Profile Info: Username, camping style, and vehicle model.
Authentication: Email address and unique IDs provided by Firebase Auth (Google, Facebook, or Email).
Location Data: We request access to your device's precise location (GPS) to show nearby spots and for the SOS Alert system.
User Content: Photos uploaded to spots/profiles, comments, and SOS alerts.
Technical Data: Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

To manage your account and publish spots.
To send safety notifications based on your selected countries.
To improve app performance by analyzing crashes.

3. Third-Party Services We use trusted partners:

Google Maps/Play Services: For maps and geolocating.
Firebase (Google): For our database, image storage, and authentication.
Discord: Feedback sent via the app is routed to our internal dev channel.

4. Data Security Your data is protected by Firebase Security Rules, ensuring only you can edit your personal info.

5. Your Rights (Account Deletion) You can delete your account and all associated data at any time within the app (Profile > Settings > Delete Account).

7. Account and Data Deletion Request

If you wish to delete your OutStay account and all associated data (including created spots, reports, and profile information), you do not need to install the application to do so.

Please send an email to outstay-support@googlegroups.com with the subject "OutStay Account Deletion". For security reasons, the email must be sent from the exact same email address you used to register your account.

Our team will process your request and permanently delete all your data within a maximum of 14 days.
