Effective as of Oct 9, 2026
We respect and protect the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how Status Saver ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app, including how ads are shown through Google AdMob. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
We do not require or collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, password, or account credentials. The app does not ask you to create an account.
The app may process limited non-personally identifiable technical information, such as device information (for example model and operating system version), app version, usage information, and crash-related data. We use it to improve app stability, performance, and user experience.
Status Saver requires access to media files on your device to identify, display, and save status media that you choose to download. Status photos and videos accessed by the app are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. The app only accesses the media necessary to provide its functionality and does not continuously upload or share your personal media with us.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. When an ad is requested or shown, AdMob may collect certain device and ad-related information, such as your advertising ID and IP address. See Section 2 for details.
Third-party providers, such as Google AdMob and any crash-reporting service we use, may independently collect and process information according to their own privacy policies.
The app uses Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, to show ads. AdMob runs through the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app. The SDK collects certain information and shares it with Google to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and understand app performance. This may include:
Advertising ID and other device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID.
IP address, which Google uses to estimate your general location.
Product interactions, such as app launches, taps, and video views.
Diagnostic information, such as app launch time, hang rate, and energy usage.
Google states that data collected by the SDK is encrypted in transit.
Ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Personalized ads use your advertising ID and ad-related activity to show ads that may be more relevant to you. Non-personalized ads rely on more limited signals, such as the content of the app and your general location. You can control this setting (see Section 6).
Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads, using Google's User Messaging Platform. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will be non-personalized or limited.
We do not share your status photos, videos, or saved files with AdMob or any other ad provider. Your media stays on your phone.
Google handles the information it collects under its own policies. To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Ads are supplied by Google and its advertising partners, and we do not control their content. If you tap an ad, you may be taken to a third-party website or app that has its own privacy practices.
Information and permissions accessed by the app are used to:
Provide the core functionality of viewing and saving statuses.
Save media selected by you to your device.
Display your saved or downloaded media.
Show ads through Google AdMob, which helps us keep the app available.
Improve app stability, usability, and performance.
Diagnose crashes and technical problems.
Comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information, and status media accessed through the app is never uploaded to or shared with our servers.
We do work with third-party services that process limited technical and advertising-related information on our behalf or on their own behalf, as described in Section 2:
Google AdMob (Google LLC), which serves and measures ads in the app.
Crash-reporting and analytics providers, if used, which receive crash logs and technical diagnostics.
These providers handle information under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or the app.
The app may request the following permissions:
Storage / Photos and Videos: used to access, display, and save status media on your device.
Network access: used to display ads through AdMob and, where applicable, to retrieve information required for app functionality. The app does not use network access to upload your personal status media to our servers.
Advertising ID: allows Google AdMob to read your Android advertising ID so it can serve and measure ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
You can manage or revoke permissions through your device settings. Some features may not function properly if the required permissions are denied.
Ad personalization: on most Android devices, open Settings > Privacy > Ads (on some devices, Settings > Google > Ads) to opt out of ads personalization or delete your advertising ID. Menu names vary by device and Android version.
Advertising ID: you can reset your advertising ID at any time from the same settings screen.
Consent choices: where we show a consent message, you can review or change your choice at any time from the privacy options in the app, where available.
Google account settings: you can also manage ad personalization in the ad settings of your Google Account.
Permissions: you can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.
Uninstalling: removing the app stops all data collection by the app.
If you turn off ad personalization, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your interests.
Status media saved through the app is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain a server-side copy of your saved status media. You can delete saved media using the app, your device's file manager, or your device's gallery or storage management tools, depending on where the files are stored.
The app does not use accounts or user profiles. Information collected by Google AdMob and other third-party providers is stored and retained under their own policies, not by us. Technical and diagnostic data processed by our service providers is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, subject to those providers' retention practices.
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The app is not directed toward children under the age of 13 (or under the higher minimum age set by local law, such as 16 in some countries), and it is not designed to attract them. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (for example, your consent to personalized ads). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
United States (for example California and other states with privacy laws): you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. Some laws treat the use of advertising identifiers for personalized ads as "sharing" or "targeted advertising"; you can opt out by following the steps in Section 6.
Because the app does not use accounts and we do not collect information that directly identifies you, we may not be able to link a request to data about you. For data held by Google, you can use Google's own privacy tools and your device's ad settings. To make a request, contact us at the address in Section 14 and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Status Saver is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to WhatsApp, Google, or any other third-party platform whose content or services may be accessed through the app.
All third-party names, trademarks, and logos, including WhatsApp, Google, and AdMob, belong to their respective owners.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights or permission to save, reproduce, or otherwise use any status media you download using the app.
You should only save or use content in accordance with applicable laws, copyright and intellectual property rights, and the terms and policies of the platform from which the content originates.
We are not responsible for any unauthorized use, copyright infringement, intellectual property violation, or other legal violation resulting from content saved or used by users of the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app, our advertising or other service providers, or our data practices. Any updates will be published within the app or on the page where this Privacy Policy is provided. The effective date at the top of this policy will be updated when significant changes are made.
