Welcome to Lockulator. Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. This Privacy Policy explains how the app works, what information (if any) is collected, and how your files remain fully private and stored only on your device.
This policy is fully aligned with the Google Play Developer Program Policies and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Information We Collect (and Do Not Collect)
Lockulator is designed based on the principle of data minimization, offering a secure offline vault stored entirely on your device.
a) Personal Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or any content you store inside the app. This includes:
Your name, email address, or any contact information.
Photos, videos, notes, passwords, or any files added to the vault.
All your content is saved locally on your device’s internal storage, and never uploaded to any external server.
b) Data Collected by Third-Party Services (Google AdMob)
To support the app and keep it free, Lockulator uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob is the only third-party service integrated into the app.
Google AdMob may collect non-personal data for displaying personalized or non-personalized ads. This may include:
Device information (model, OS version)
Advertising ID (resettable)
IP address (used only to estimate general location)
All data collected by Google is handled according to Google’s Privacy Policy:

For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, consent is requested through Google’s consent system before personalized ads are shown.
3. How We Use Your Information
App Functionality:
Lockulator does not require any personal data.
Advertisements:
Only the non-personal information collected by Google AdMob is used to display ads within the app.
4. Permissions & Device Access
We strictly adhere to the principle of "Least Privilege." Unlike other vault apps, Lockulator respects your privacy by NOT requesting sensitive permissions.
No Storage Permission Required: We do not request full access to your internal storage (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). Instead, we use the system's native file picker, allowing you to select only the specific files you wish to import.
No Camera/Microphone/Location Access: The app does not request or access your camera, microphone, or GPS location.
5. Your Data Rights (GDPR Compliance)
You maintain full control over all your stored content. In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to:
Access:
Open the vault and view all stored files anytime.
Rectification:
Edit notes or replace files by deleting and re-adding them.
Erasure (Right to be Forgotten):
Delete individual items or remove all stored files using the in-app delete functions.
Restrict Processing:
Since we do not process your data, this right is exercised simply by choosing what to store or remove.
Data Portability:
Export your files back to your device’s public storage at any time.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be displayed inside the app, and the “Effective Date” at the top will be updated accordingly.
