LeanderCreative AB (department Leanderoid Development) ("we", "us") built the Ocean Sounds for Sleep app as an ad-supported app. This SERVICE is provided by Leanderoid without warranty of any kind and is intended for use "as is".
This page informs you about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service. If you choose to use our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
In short: we do not operate any server, we have no user accounts, and we do not collect, receive, or store any personal information about you ourselves. The app works entirely on your device. Certain Google services embedded in the app (advertising and crash reporting) do collect information, as described below.
Information We Collect
We, LeanderCreative AB, collect no personal information from users of this app. We do not ask you to register, we do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information, and we operate no servers that receive data from the app.
Information Stored on Your Device
The app stores your settings and preferences locally on your device only. This includes:
Your playback settings, sound selections and volume configuration
Notification and display preferences
Whether optional sound packs have been unlocked
Reward credits earned by watching rewarded ads
Your acceptance of this privacy policy and your advertising consent choices
This information never leaves your device, is never transmitted to us, and is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
Third-Party Services
The app uses third-party services provided by Google that may collect information used to identify your device. We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you personally.
Google AdMob — The app is ad-supported and displays banner ads and optional rewarded ads (which you may choose to watch in order to unlock additional sound packs). To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and operating system information, and information about your interaction with ads. Whether you receive personalised or non-personalised ads depends on the consent choice you make, as described under "Your Choices" below. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — Used to present a consent form and to record your advertising consent choice where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland). Your choice is stored on your device. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Firebase Crashlytics — If the app crashes or encounters an error, Crashlytics collects a crash report so that we can fix the problem. A crash report may include the type of device, the operating system version, the app version and configuration, the time and date of the crash, a technical stack trace, your IP address, and a randomly generated Crashlytics installation identifier. Crashlytics does not report your name, email address, or the contents of your device. Google deletes crash data automatically after 90 days. Privacy policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Play Services and Google Play Feature Delivery — Used to distribute the app and to download optional sound packs and additional content on demand when you request them. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The app contains no in-app purchases, no user accounts, no analytics service that profiles individual users, and no advertising or tracking services other than those named above.
Permissions
The app requests the following device permissions, none of which are used to collect personal information:
Internet and network access — to load ads and download optional sound packs
Foreground service and media playback — to keep sounds playing while the app is in the background or the screen is off
Wake lock — to prevent the device from sleeping during playback
Notifications — to show playback controls while sound is playing
Vibrate — for interface feedback
Advertising ID — required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to serve ads
The app does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, files, or location.
Log Data
We do not operate servers and therefore keep no logs. In the case of an error in the app, log data is collected by Firebase Crashlytics as described above. This log data may include your device's IP address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app, the time and date of the error, and other technical statistics.
Cookies
Cookies are small data files commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers, sent to your browser by websites you visit and stored on your device.
This Service does not use cookies explicitly. However, the third-party code and libraries listed above may use cookies or similar identifiers to collect information and improve their services. You can control advertising identifiers through your device settings, as described under "Your Choices" below.
Data Deletion
We do not store any of your data, so there is no data held by us that can be deleted, and no deletion request needs to be submitted to us. We have no user accounts, no servers, and no database containing information about our users.
You can nevertheless remove all data associated with the app at any time:
To delete all app data stored on your device (settings, preferences, unlocked content and reward credits): Open your device's Settings → Apps → Ocean Sounds for Sleep → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the app. This permanently erases everything the app has stored locally.
To delete or reset your advertising identifier used by AdMob: Open your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer and Android version), where you can delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation. This is controlled by Google and your device, not by us.
To withdraw or change your advertising consent: Open the app, go to the About screen and select the privacy/ad consent option to reopen the consent form and change your choice.
To request deletion of crash report data: Crash reports held by Firebase Crashlytics are deleted automatically by Google 90 days after they are recorded. If you want a crash report associated with your installation removed sooner, email us at leanderoid.development@gmail.com with the subject line "Data deletion request", including your device model and the approximate date you used the app. We will delete any matching crash report and confirm to you within 30 days. Please note that crash reports do not identify you personally, so the information above is needed to locate them.
For any other question about deleting data, contact us at leanderoid.development@gmail.com.
Your Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, data protection law gives you the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing and withdraw consent. Because we hold no personal data about you, we are generally unable to identify or retrieve any data relating to you. You may still exercise these rights against us by writing to leanderoid.development@gmail.com, and we will respond within 30 days. For data held by Google in connection with advertising and crash reporting, please refer to Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

We may employ third-party companies and individuals for the following reasons:
To facilitate our Service
To provide the Service on our behalf
To perform Service-related services
To assist us in analysing how our Service is used
These third parties may have access to device information as described above, in order to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. They are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

For data handled by the third-party services listed above, security is governed by those providers' own policies. Please remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
