This Privacy Policy describes how Muslim Plus: Quran & Journal ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
## Information We Collect
### Location Data
The App requests access to your device's location services for the following features:
- **Qibla Compass** — to calculate the direction of the Kaaba from your current location.
- **Prayer Times** — to determine accurate prayer times based on your location.
Location data is processed locally on your device and is **not** transmitted to our servers or stored externally.
### Local Storage
The App stores the following data locally on your device using AsyncStorage:
- Tasbih (dhikr) counter sessions and custom entries
- Quran bookmarks and last-read position
- Muhasabah (self-reflection) journal entries
- App preferences (language, theme, onboarding status)
- Purchase status (premium/free)
This data remains on your device and is **not** sent to any external server.
### Sensor Data
The App uses your device's magnetometer (compass sensor) for the Qibla direction feature. This data is processed locally and not stored or transmitted.
## Third-Party Services
### Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data in accordance with Google's privacy policy, including:
- Device identifiers (advertising ID)
- IP address
- General location (based on IP)
- App usage data for ad personalization

You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings:

### In-App Purchases
The App offers a premium option to remove advertisements, processed through Google Play. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play and are subject to [Google Play's Terms of Service](https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/).
## Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do **not** collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
- We do **not** require account registration
- We do **not** store or transmit your location to external servers
- We do **not** collect or store your journal/muhasabah entries on any server
- We do **not** share any personal data with third parties (except via AdMob as described above)
## Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
## Data Retention
All user data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data. We do not retain any data on external servers.
## Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
