MindBlowers ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Modern Muslim mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
Modern Muslim prioritizes minimal data collection. Most features function offline, and your personal data is primarily stored locally on your device. To provide core features like "Digital Discipline," "Prayer Times," and "Habit Tracking," the App requires specific Android permissions.
Modern Muslim uses the Accessibility Service API purely for the "Digital Discipline" (App Blocking) feature.
Why we use it: To detect when you open a distracting app that you have chosen to block during a focus session or habit time. It allows the App to instantly show an overlay blocking access to that specific app.
Data Usage: We do not use the Accessibility Service to collect, read, or share any personal or sensitive user data (such as passwords, chats, or financial info). The service is active only when you have enabled App Blocking features.
Consent: You must explicitly grant this permission in your Android settings. You can revoke it at any time.
Why we use it: To track how much time you spend on other applications. This helps us generate your "Focus Score" and identify "distracting apps" so you can choose to block them.
Data Usage: This data is processed locally on your device to visualize your productivity. We do not sell or share your app usage history with third parties.
Why we use it: To display the "Blocked App" screen when you try to open a restricted app during a focus session, and to show full-screen reminders for timed Sunnah habits.
Why we use it: To calculate accurate Prayer Times and Qibla direction based on your specific geographical coordinates.
Data Usage: Your location is used locally for these calculations. It is not tracked in the background when the feature is not in use, nor is it shared with advertising networks.
We use trusted third-party services to improve the App and support our business. These parties may collect data as per their own privacy policies.
Google AdMob: We display advertisements to support the free version of the App. AdMob may collect data (like Advertising ID) to show personalized ads.
Google Play Services & Billing: Used for processing "Premium" subscriptions and In-App Purchases. We do not store your credit card or financial information; transactions are handled securely by Google.
Your primary data (Habit logs, specific blocked apps settings, journal entries) is stored in a local database on your device. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect this app. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Modern Muslim is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our records.
