Privacy Policy — Manaaki ZooDraw
Last updated: March 24, 2026
Manaaki ZooDraw (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a casual drawing and animal-themed play app for young children (about ages 3–6). This Privacy Policy is written for parents and guardians who download and supervise use of the app.
Who we are
This app is operated by Manaaki Labs. For privacy questions, contact us at manaaki1.labs@gmail.com.
Audience and supervision
The app is intended for preschool-aged children with a parent or guardian’s involvement. We do not knowingly ask children to provide a name, email address, or other contact information inside the app.
What the app does
Manaaki ZooDraw offers offline-friendly drawing and mini-games. There is no user account or login in the app. The app does not request unnecessary permissions such as location, contacts, or camera.
Information we do not collect on our servers
We do not operate a backend that collects personal data from users for this app. We do not run chat, profiles, or a feature that asks children to type personal details for us to store on our servers.
Legal basis for processing
Through the app itself, we do not collect or process personal data on our servers, and we do not maintain user accounts or profiles for children. We also do not use a separate analytics service beyond what may be involved in delivering ads through Google’s advertising services (see Analytics below). The app itself does not collect or process personal data for our own purposes; any limited processing related to ads is performed only by third-party services (Google), not by us.
When advertisements are shown, Google (Google Mobile Ads / AdMob) may process limited information under its own privacy policies and technical settings. Google is responsible for its own data practices in connection with ads. The following section explains how we configure the app and what that means for families.
Advertising (Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads)
We may show advertisements using Google’s advertising services (Google Mobile Ads and AdMob).
Non-personalized ads only. We configure the app to request non-personalized ads (ads that are not tailored to a user’s interests or profile in the way personalized ads are).
No behavioral or interest-based ads. We do not use behavioral advertising, profiling, or interest-based ad targeting.
Child-directed treatment. We configure the SDK for child-directed treatment, including settings aligned with COPPA and similar expectations for apps directed to children.
Regional settings. Where applicable, we use settings for users under the age of consent in the European Economic Area and other regions supported by Google’s consent tools.
Data Google may collect. When ads load or are interacted with, Google may collect limited device and technical data (for example to deliver ads, measure delivery, help prevent fraud, and operate its ad systems). How Google uses data is described in Google’s privacy policy and the Google Mobile Ads / AdMob documentation—we encourage parents to review those materials.
Our role vs. Google’s. We choose child-appropriate ad settings and non-personalized ads. We do not control how Google processes data collected through its services. Google is responsible for its own data practices. Parents may also review Google’s privacy policy and tools for any choices Google offers users and families.
Third-party services
The only advertising service integrated in the app is Google (Google Mobile Ads / AdMob). We do not embed other analytics or marketing trackers in the app.
Local storage on your device
We use your device’s local storage (similar to “cookies” on a website) to remember simple things like game progress and how often certain ads have been shown. This data stays on your device and is not sold by us.
Data retention
We do not store personal data from this app on our servers. Information kept in local storage on the device (such as game progress and simple ad-frequency limits) is not uploaded to our servers; it stays on the device until you uninstall the app or clear the app’s data in your device settings, which removes that local information.
Security
We take reasonable steps to design the app in a way that protects users and limits data collection. Because we do not operate a backend or user accounts for this app, we do not maintain a central database of users to secure. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk.
Analytics
We do not use a separate third-party analytics SDK beyond what may be involved in delivering ads through Google’s advertising services as described above.
Children in the European Union (GDPR)
This app is directed at young children. Where Google’s consent tools apply (for example in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), we use them to support age-appropriate ad handling. Parents and guardians with questions about data protection can contact us at manaaki1.labs@gmail.com.
Parents’ rights and contact
If you are a parent or guardian, you may:
Contact us at manaaki1.labs@gmail.com with questions about this policy or your child’s use of the app.
Ask what information we hold about your child. We do not keep a list of child users or server-side profiles. Information may exist only on the device (as described under Local storage) and through Google’s processing when ads are shown (as described under Advertising). We will explain this clearly if you write to us.
Request deletion. We do not have server-side accounts for your child to erase. You can remove local data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data on the device. For information that may be processed by Google in connection with ads, please use Google’s privacy resources and help documentation—we cannot delete data held by Google on your behalf.
We do not store personal data on our servers, but we will respond to parents and help with questions or concerns.
In the United States, parents may have specific rights under COPPA; in the EEA, UK, and similar regions, children’s privacy rules may apply. We are happy to respond in plain language.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will adjust the “Last updated” date when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
