ZenNotes (the "Application") is built as a completely offline, distraction-free markdown notebook. This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Application.
ZenNotes is designed with privacy as its core principle.
No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, usage data, or unique device identifiers.
No Cloud Storage or Databases: All notes, categorizations, and writing history logs created inside the Application are saved entirely on your local device's storage.
No Network Permissions: The Application operates 100% offline and does not require internet access or make external API calls.
All notes are serialized and stored locally on your device (using secure local key-value storage).
Since the Application operates completely offline and has no backend server or cloud backup, we cannot recover your notes if they are lost, if you clear the Application data, or if you uninstall the Application.
You are solely responsible for exporting or sharing your notes if you wish to keep backups.
Because we do not collect any personal information, our Application is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since the Application does not connect to the internet, any updates to this policy will only be made available through Application updates on the official app store.
