Privacy Policy for Videous Max
Privacy Policy for Videous Max
1. Introduction
Videous Max is a free movie and TV show discovery app that lets you browse trending titles, explore anime, watch trailers, and save your favorites. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what data is collected, why, and by whom.
By using Videous Max you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
2. Information We Collect
A. Data you provide directly
Favorites / Watchlist — when you save a title as a favorite, that list is stored locally on your device using Android's shared preferences storage. It is never sent to any server.
B. Data collected automatically
By our ad partner (AppLovin MAX and Meta Audience Network):
Android Advertising ID (GAID) — used to deliver and measure personalized ads
Device information (model, OS version, screen size, language)
Approximate location derived from IP address (country/region level) for ad targeting
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, revenue signals)
By our content provider (The Movie Database — TMDB):
Your search queries and browse requests are sent to TMDB's API over HTTPS to fetch movie and TV data. TMDB may log these requests per their own privacy policy.
By YouTube (trailer playback):
When you play a trailer, YouTube's embedded player is loaded. Google may collect viewing data per their privacy policy.
C. Data we do NOT collect
Name, email, phone number, or any account credentials — Videous Max has no sign-up or login
Precise GPS or real-time location
Payment or financial information
Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data
Any data stored on our own servers (we do not operate any)
3. Android Permissions
Videous Max requests the following permissions:
Permission Why
INTERNET Required to fetch movie data and load ads
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Checks connectivity before making network requests
AD_ID Allows our ad partner to read the Android Advertising ID for personalized ads
4. How We Use Your Information
To display movies, TV shows, and anime content fetched from The Movie Database (TMDB)
To persist your saved favorites between app sessions (stored locally only)
To show advertisements that keep the app free — via AppLovin MAX with Meta Audience Network as a mediation partner
To improve app performance and fix bugs
5. Third-Party Services
Videous Max integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy that governs their data practices:
The Movie Database (TMDB) — themoviedb.org/privacy-policy
AppLovin MAX — applovin.com/privacy
Meta Audience Network — facebook.com/privacy/policy
YouTube / Google (trailer player) — policies.google.com/privacy
Flutter WebView — follows the privacy policy of whichever site is loaded
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
6. Advertising
Videous Max is free and ad-supported. The app shows the following ad formats: banner ads, interstitial ads, app-open ads, MREC (medium rectangle) ads, and native ads — all served through AppLovin MAX with Meta Audience Network as an ad source.
These ad networks may use your Android Advertising ID to show you personalized ads.
To opt out of personalized ads on Android:
Android 12 and above: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
Android 11 and below: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
Opting out means you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. The app remains fully functional.
7. Data Storage & Security
Your favorites list is stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app
All network communication between Videous Max and external services (TMDB, AppLovin, YouTube) uses HTTPS / TLS encryption
We do not operate any backend servers or cloud databases
8. Children's Privacy
Videous Max is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and provided personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.
9. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
GDPR (EU / EEA): Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object
CCPA (California): Right to know what data is collected, right to deletion, and right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information
LGPD (Brazil): Rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and information about data sharing
Since we store nothing on our own servers, the simplest way to delete all Videous Max data is to uninstall the app. For any data held by third-party partners (AppLovin, Meta, Google), please refer to their respective privacy policies and opt-out tools.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Videous Max after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
