Effective date: October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information the Tim VPN Android app ("Tim VPN", "we", "us") collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Contact: timvpnsite@gmail.com
We do not log the websites you visit, your DNS queries or the content of your traffic.
We do not sell your personal information.
You do not need an account. We identify your installation with your device's Android ID.
To run the service we keep limited technical data: device and app details, your public IP address, VPN credentials and connection statistics (number, time, length and data volume of sessions). Details are below.
Browsing history, visited websites or apps you use through the VPN
DNS queries
The content of your internet traffic
Your name, email address, phone number or contacts
Your GPS location
Your payment card details (Google Play handles payments)
We store the following in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore, linked to your device's Android ID:
Android ID, device manufacturer and model, Android version: Identify your installation without an account; troubleshooting
App version, app language, first and last time the app was opened: Support and compatibility
Your public IP address and when it was seen (looked up through ipify.org while the VPN is off): Abuse prevention and troubleshooting
VPN credentials for each server: WireGuard keys and your tunnel address: Connect you to the VPN servers
Connection statistics for each server: number of sessions, when the last session started, session length and data volume (total and last session): Capacity planning, abuse prevention, troubleshooting
App settings you choose: favorite regions and the names of Wi‑Fi networks you add to "Always" or "Never" rules: Restore your settings after reinstalling
How many of your free Premium feature trials you have used: Apply the "3 free uses" limit
An account status flag: Block abusive installations
Your IP address while connected. To send traffic back to your device, the VPN server must know your current public IP address. WireGuard keeps it in memory while you are connected; we do not write it to a traffic log.
Credential requests. When the app asks a server for VPN credentials, the server logs the request time, your IP address and the result of the Google Play Integrity check, to prevent abuse. These logs are deleted automatically after at most 14 days.
Aggregate statistics. Servers record the total traffic and number of connected devices to monitor load. These figures are not linked to your identity.
Before giving out VPN credentials, the app requests an integrity token from Google Play and sends it to our server. It tells us whether the request comes from the genuine Tim VPN app installed from Google Play on a genuine device. We use it only to prevent abuse. See Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
We use Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring. They are on by default, and you can turn them off anytime in Settings → Diagnostics & usage. They collect app interactions (for example screens opened and buttons used), crash logs, performance data, device details and an app instance identifier. They never include the content of your VPN traffic.
The free version shows ads served by Unity Ads (Unity Technologies). Unity may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device details and ad interactions to show and measure ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Premium subscribers do not see ads. Unity's privacy policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
Tim VPN Premium is sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment; we never receive your card details. The app receives your purchase status from Google Play to unlock Premium. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions.
When you open or refresh the Location screen, the app asks ipapi.co for the location of your current public IP address (country, city, time zone, network provider) and shows it on your device. We do not store this result.
VPN (VpnService): to create the encrypted tunnel. Android asks for your approval the first time you connect.
Location (precise): only to read the name of the Wi‑Fi network you are connected to, for trusted and untrusted network rules. We do not collect your location. Wi‑Fi names you add to a rule are stored as described in section 2.
Notifications: to show the VPN status and connection prompts.
Your connection history, app settings and Premium status are stored on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes them from the device.
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that run parts of the service for us:
Google (Firebase, Google Play Billing, Play Integrity)
Unity Technologies (ads in the free version)
ipify.org and ipapi.co (IP address lookups)
Hosting companies that operate our VPN servers in different countries
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Database records (section 2): while you use the app, and until you ask us to delete them.
Server credential logs (section 3): up to 14 days.
Analytics and crash data: according to the retention settings of Firebase.
Turn off analytics and crash reports in Settings → Diagnostics & usage.
Reset your advertising ID in Android settings, or subscribe to Premium to remove ads.
Delete your data: email timvpnsite@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data". We will help you identify your installation and delete its database record within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to its processing. Contact us at the email above.
Traffic between the app and our services uses TLS encryption. VPN traffic is encrypted with WireGuard. Access to our database and servers is restricted.
Our VPN servers and service providers operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside your country.
Tim VPN is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
