SwitchMe is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is accessed by the app, why certain permissions are required, and how your information is handled.
1. Local Device-to-Device Transfer
SwitchMe is designed for local, peer-to-peer (P2P) file transfer and device migration.
Files transferred through SwitchMe are sent directly between your devices using Wi-Fi Direct or a local hotspot connection. Your transferred files are not uploaded to SwitchMe servers.
2. Permissions We Request
SwitchMe requests only the permissions necessary to provide its core features.

• Analyze storage for the Space Cleaner feature
• Store files protected by Secure Vault
Contacts & Calendar
Permissions:

Purpose:
These permissions are used only when you choose to transfer contacts or calendar events to another device.
Location & Nearby Devices
Permissions:
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE
CHANGE_WIFI_STATE
NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES
Purpose:
Android requires these permissions for Wi-Fi Direct device discovery and nearby connections.
SwitchMe does not use these permissions to track your physical location.
Camera
Permission:
CAMERA
Purpose:
Used only to scan QR codes when connecting two devices.
The camera is never used to record photos or videos without your action.
App Transfer
Permissions:
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES
REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES
Purpose:
Used only to detect installed applications that you choose to share and to install APK files that you receive.
Background Operation
Permissions:
FOREGROUND_SERVICE
WAKE_LOCK
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Purpose:
These permissions allow file transfers to continue while the app is in the background and display transfer progress notifications.
3. Third-Party Services
SwitchMe uses the following third-party services:
Google AdMob
Displays advertisements in the free version of the app.
AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and diagnostic information according to Google's Privacy Policy.
Firebase Crashlytics
Collects anonymous crash reports and diagnostic information to improve app stability.
Google Play Billing
Processes purchases for SwitchMe PRO.
Payment information is handled by Google Play. SwitchMe does not receive or store your payment card information.
4. Secure Vault
Files stored in Secure Vault remain on your device and are protected using the security features provided by the app.
If you uninstall the app or clear its data before restoring your protected files, those files may become permanently inaccessible.
SwitchMe cannot recover your PIN or restore protected files.
5. Children's Privacy
SwitchMe is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
Any updates will be published within the app or on the Privacy Policy page.
