Smart Reply — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Silver State Apps Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Smart Reply mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Smart Reply App. It does not apply to any third-party apps, messaging services, or websites that you may use together with the App, each of which is governed by its own privacy policy.
3. Summary of Core Principles
In our latest version, we have introduced features that require Network, Camera, and Microphone permissions. We strictly follow the data minimization principle:
No Server Storage for Media: Photos captured by your camera or voice data processed by your microphone are handled locally on your device or via secure system APIs. We do not upload, store, or share your media files or voice data on our servers.
Secure Authentication: Network access is used strictly for user authentication (sign-in) and essential app operations.
4. Notification Access & What We Read
Smart Reply uses Android's Notification Listener permission (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE). When you enable it and select target apps, the App reads notifications only from the apps you explicitly select. From those notifications it processes the sender name and message text for the sole purpose of matching your rules and generating an automatic reply on your behalf. We do not read notifications from apps you have not selected.
5. Permissions We Request and How We Use Them
To provide our enhanced services, the App requests the following permissions:
Internet Access (android.permission.INTERNET) & Network State (android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used strictly to connect to our authentication service to allow users to securely log into their accounts, and to check network availability before performing login actions.
Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used strictly to allow you to take a photo when you choose to change or customize your user avatar within the App. The captured photo is processed locally on your device to set your profile picture and is not uploaded to our servers.
Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Used strictly to enable voice-to-text features. The App utilizes the standard Android Speech Recognition API (android.speech.SpeechRecognizer) to convert your voice into text locally or via the Android operating system's built-in secure speech service. We do not record, collect, or upload your audio data.
Query Installed Apps (Package Visibility): Used locally to display the list of apps you can choose as auto-reply targets.
6. Data Collection, Transmission, and Storage
User Account Data: When you log in, your authentication credentials (such as an email or auth token) are securely transmitted via HTTPS to authenticate your identity.
Media and Voice Data (Zero Upload): Your avatar photos and speech-to-text audio streams are processed entirely on-device or handled by the core Android operating system. No media files or raw audio data are transmitted to or stored on our backend servers.
Notification & Message History: A reply history (sender, incoming message text, reply text, app name, and timestamp) is stored locally using the App's private local storage.
Third-Party SDKs: The App may utilize trusted third-party service providers (such as Google Firebase for authentication or crash reporting) to support secure login and monitor app stability. These third parties handle data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
7. Sensitive Content & Recommended Exclusions
Notifications you select may incidentally contain sensitive information such as one-time passcodes (OTP), banking, or health messages. We strongly recommend that you do not enable Smart Reply for banking, authentication, or OTP apps. You are responsible for choosing which apps to enable.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
Local Data: You can delete your locally stored history and app data at any time by clearing the history in the App, clearing the App's data in system settings, or uninstalling the App.
Account Data: If you wish to request the deletion of your login account or associated authentication data, please contact us at the email address below, and we will process your request promptly.
9. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures (such as HTTPS encryption for data in transit) to protect your login and authentication data. Data stored on your device is protected by the Android operating system's app-isolation model.
10. Your Controls & Rights
You remain in control of your data and permissions at all times:
Permission Revocation: You can grant or revoke Camera, Microphone, and Notification permissions at any time through your device's Android System Settings.
App Targeting: You decide which apps the App may read.
Data Erasure: You can wipe all local application data via system settings or request account deletion via email.
11. Children's Privacy
Smart Reply is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from children.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the App after an update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
