Resistor Calculator ("the App") is a professional mobile application developed by AntoTech ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App. The App is an industrial-grade utility designed for electronic engineers, students, and makers, offering resistor color code calculation (3, 4, 5, and 6 bands), advanced SMD and Capacitor decoding (including RKM and EIA codes), LED circuit design with custom current selection, and local inventory management.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. The App is designed to operate primarily offline, performing all electrical, thermal, and mathematical calculations locally on your device. We do not transmit your technical calculations or inventory data to our servers.

1. Information You Provide

User Inputs for Calculation: When you select color bands or enter numeric values for Ohm's Law, Power Analysis, Capacitor codes, or LED circuit design, the data is processed in real-time locally. This includes custom voltage (V) and current (mA) parameters. This information is not stored beyond your session unless you manually save it to the "Session Logs."
Inventory (My Stock): The App allows you to manage a personal database of your resistor and electronic components. This data (values, quantities, tolerances, and types) is stored 100% locally on your device using localStorage. We never access or upload your inventory lists.
Session Logs (History): If you choose to save a calculation, it is stored locally on your device for quick reference. You can clear this history or individual records at any time.

2. Hardware Access

No Camera Usage: Current versions of the App DO NOT require or use the camera. All data entry is performed via high-precision manual inputs to ensure technical accuracy.
Storage Access: The App uses local browser storage (localStorage) to maintain your inventory and preferences without requiring external file system permissions.

3. Automatically Collected Information

Device and Usage Data: The App may collect non-personal information (device model, OS version) to ensure compatibility and performance.
Ad-Related Data: The App displays ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), IP address, and app usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. Please consult Google’s Privacy Policy for more details.
Local Preferences: We use localStorage to remember your settings, such as:
- Language preference (English/Spanish).
- Theme preference (Dark/Light Mode).
- The "My Stock" database and "Session Logs."

How We Use Your Information

To Provide App Functionality: To calculate resistance values, capacitor specifications (pF, nF, µF), power dissipation limits, and suggested commercial equivalents (E12/E24/E96 series).
To Manage Your Stock: To keep track of your physical components locally on your device.
For Advertising: AdMob uses collected data to display relevant ads. We do not have access to the specific profiles created by Google for advertising.
Thermal Safety Analysis: To provide visual warnings and safety suggestions when a component might exceed standard power dissipation limits based on your custom voltage inputs.

All technical processing occurs on your device.
Local Storage: Be aware that data saved in "My Stock" and "Session Logs" stays on the device. If you uninstall the App or clear your app cache, this data will be permanently deleted.

Children's Privacy
