Privacy Policy for PDF Flow
Effective date: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Flow (the “App”) handles information when you use our Android application. The App is provided by the developer of PDF Flow (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. Information the App handles
Documents and images
When you choose a document or image, the App accesses it through Android’s file picker or storage permissions so that it can display, edit, convert, merge, split, sign, or export the file. Files created or saved by the App, document names, file types, sizes, dates, favorites, and related settings may be stored on your device.
PDF creation, editing, rendering, image export, merging, splitting, and drawn signatures are performed locally where the feature supports local processing. The App does not require an account, and we do not receive the content of documents that remain in local processing.
The Word-to-PDF conversion and Office preview workflow may temporarily copy a selected file into the App’s private cache and pass it to the conversion component used by the App. Temporary working files are removed when the session ends or when they are no longer needed. Do not select confidential documents unless you are comfortable with this processing. The conversion component’s own privacy terms may also apply.
Camera
If you use the scan feature, the App requests camera access to capture pages or images. Camera frames are used for the scan you start and are not collected for unrelated purposes. You can deny or revoke camera access in Android settings, although scanning will then be unavailable.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, the App may show local or service notifications, such as processing or product updates. Notification permission is optional and can be changed in Android settings.
Device, usage, and diagnostic information
The App and its service providers may collect limited technical and event information, such as app version, Android version, device or installation identifiers, language, country or region, session and feature events, permission results, crash information, advertising events, and attribution information. We use this information to operate the App, measure performance, prevent abuse, understand feature usage, deliver relevant configuration, and improve the App.
The App may use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase Cloud Messaging, ThinkingData, RuiSen, Singular or other attribution and measurement providers, and advertising partners configured for a particular release. These providers may process identifiers, event data, diagnostics, and advertising or attribution data under their own privacy policies. Where required, the App presents a consent or privacy choices dialog. You can limit or reset advertising identifiers through Android settings and, where available, the App’s privacy choices.
We do not use analytics to read the contents of your documents. We do not sell document content. We do not use the App to request contacts, microphone, or precise location access.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide document viewing, editing, conversion, storage, sharing, scanning, and notification features; save preferences and maintain recent files and favorites on your device; troubleshoot errors, protect the App, detect fraud or abuse, and maintain security; understand aggregate usage and improve reliability and user experience; measure advertising and marketing performance and provide ads where enabled; and comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.
3. Sharing and service providers
We share information only as needed to provide the App and for the purposes above, including with analytics, crash reporting, attribution, advertising, notification, hosting, and conversion providers. These providers may process information on our behalf and may operate in countries other than your own. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
The Android share sheet and any third-party app you choose to open a file are controlled by those third parties. Their handling of shared files is governed by their own policies.
4. Retention and deletion
Files and preferences stored locally remain until you delete them, clear the App’s data, uninstall the App, or use an in-App deletion control. Temporary conversion files are intended to be deleted after processing or when a session closes. Analytics, attribution, crash, and advertising records are retained by us and our providers for the period reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, legal requirements, dispute resolution, and security.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for selecting files to process and for keeping your device and Android account secure.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise a right, contact us using the email address below. We may need to verify your request. You can also revoke camera, notification, storage, and other permissions in Android settings, reset your advertising identifier, or stop using and uninstall the App.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
8. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or recognized transfer mechanisms.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our services, or applicable law changes. We will post the updated version in the App or through the distribution page and update the effective date. Your continued use of the App after an update means that the updated policy applies to your use, to the extent permitted by law.
