This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of PDF Studio:Scan & Read (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the App.

1. App Features and Accounts
The App supports viewing PDFs, creating PDFs from camera photos, renaming documents, marking favorites, and sharing PDFs. No account registration or login is required.
2. Documents and Local Processing
The App accesses PDF documents, captured document images, and the file information needed to perform the features you use, such as file names and storage locations.
PDF documents and images used to create PDFs are processed on your device. We do not upload these documents or images to our servers for processing.
This local document processing is separate from the technical data processing performed by advertising and Firebase services.
3. File Access and Camera Use
All Files Access
The App uses MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE to support PDF document management outside its app-specific storage, within the locations Android allows it to access.
This access supports locating, opening, saving, renaming, organizing, and sharing PDF documents. You can grant or revoke All files access in Android’s special app access settings. Revoking it may limit document management functions.
Camera and PDF Creation
When you choose to create a PDF by taking photos, your device’s camera captures the document images. These images are processed locally to create the PDF.
You can manage camera access through the applicable Android permission controls. Disabling camera access may prevent photo capture for PDF creation.
4. Google AdMob
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK processes IP addresses, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and applicable device or other identifiers for advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention.
IP addresses may be used to estimate general location. The exact data handling depends on SDK version, configuration, and applicable consent choices.

5. Google Firebase
The App integrates Google Firebase. The information processed, purposes, retention periods, and deletion procedures depend on the specific Firebase services enabled and their configuration.

6. Document Sharing and Support
When you choose to share a PDF, the document is provided to the app, service, or recipient you select. The receiving party’s handling of that document is governed by its own privacy practices.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you include. We use this information to respond to and handle your request.
7. Retention and Deletion
Saved PDFs remain in their storage locations until you delete them using an available file management tool. Clearing app data or uninstalling the App may remove app-specific records, while documents in shared device storage may remain.
Support correspondence is retained for the time needed to handle your request, resolve related issues, or meet applicable legal requirements.
Google service data is subject to the relevant service’s retention settings and deletion procedures. Uninstalling the App does not necessarily delete data already processed by those services.

8. Your Controls and Security
You can manage storage and camera access through Android settings. Where supported, Android’s advertising settings also let you manage your advertising identifier.
Local documents are subject to your device’s security and Android’s storage controls. Google documents TLS encryption for data transmitted by its Mobile Ads SDK. No electronic storage or transmission method offers an absolute security guarantee.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Policy Updates and Contact
We may update this policy when the App or its information practices change. Updates will be reflected in the “Last updated” date, with additional notice or consent where required.
