Camera Access: Moodi requires access to your device's camera to capture real-time video for applying facial expression filters and taking photos.
Facial Recognition (Local Processing Only): The App uses facial landmark detection technology to recognize your expressions and apply corresponding meme effects. All facial detection and processing occur locally on your device. Your facial data, biometric information, or video feed is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any external servers.
Device Storage (Photos/Media): The App requires access to your device's storage solely to allow you to save the photos you take within Moodi directly to your local photo gallery. We do not access, view, or upload any other files or photos from your device's gallery.
3. Data Collection and Sharing Because the core features operate entirely on your local device:
We do NOT collect, store, or upload your photos, videos, or facial data.
We do NOT sell or rent any of your personal information to third parties.
Note: Moodi is distributed via the Google Play Store, which may collect basic usage and crash analytics according to Google's own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google Play's terms.
4. Data Retention Since Moodi does not transmit your photos or facial data to any servers, we do not retain this data. Any photos you choose to save are kept locally on your device and are subject to your own management and deletion.
