Welcome to Calculock. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data. This Privacy Policy explains how Calculock operates, what data (if any) is collected, and why your files remain completely private and under your control. This policy is designed to comply with the Google Play Developer Program Policies and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Calculock is built on the principle of data minimization. Our core function is to provide a secure, offline vault on your device.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information or any of the content you store within the app. This includes:
Your name, email address, or contact information.
The photos, videos, notes, or any other files you add to the vault.
Metadata from your files (e.g., geolocation, timestamps, etc.).
All files and notes you add to Calculock are stored exclusively on your device's local internal storage and are never uploaded to any external server.
To support the app and keep it free, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob is our only third-party service provider.
Google AdMob may collect and process non-personal data to provide personalized or non-personalized ads. This data may include:
Device Information: such as your device model and operating system version.
Advertising ID: a unique, user-resettable ID for advertising.
IP Address: to estimate your general location.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland, we will obtain your consent through Google's consent management platform before AdMob serves personalized ads.
To Provide Core App Functionality: Calculock does not require any personal data to function. Its operation is entirely offline and self-contained on your device.
To Display Advertisements: The non-personal data collected by Google AdMob is used solely for serving ads within the application.
Storage: All your files are stored locally on your device’s internal storage. They are not accessible by other apps unless you export them.
Security: Access to your vault is protected by the secret PIN you set. You are solely responsible for remembering your PIN. If you forget it, we cannot recover it, as this would compromise the vault’s security.
Retention: We do not retain any of your data because we never collect it. Your files remain on your device until you choose to delete them, either individually or using the “Delete All Data” feature in the app’s settings.
As a user, you have full control over your data. In accordance with GDPR, you have the following rights:
The Right to Access: You can access all your data (files and notes) at any time by unlocking the vault.
The Right to Rectification: You can modify your notes. To rectify a file, delete the old version and add the updated one.
The Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can delete any individual file or note at any time. You can also permanently delete all your data stored within the app using the “Delete All Data” function.
The Right to Restrict Processing: Since we do not process your personal data, this right is exercised by you choosing what to add or remove from the vault.
The Right to Data Portability: You can move your files from the vault back to your device’s public storage at any time.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
