Thank you for using Fohyou (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Your trust is of paramount importance to us, and we are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding our data practices.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services across Android and iOS platforms, in compliance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines, Google Play Developer Policies, and applicable privacy regulations.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to deliver, improve, and secure our venue discovery and community services:

a. Location Information

To provide real-time venue discovery, calculate distances, and display nearby venues:

• Precise Location (GPS Data): With your explicit consent via your device's system permissions (iOS / Android location permission prompt), we collect precise geographic coordinates to find and display nightlife venues, bars, operating hours, and points of interest near you.

• Approximate Location (Network-Based): Used to deliver localized city-level content and contextual advertisements.

You may grant, deny, or revoke location permissions at any time through your device's system settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services on iOS).

b. Personal & Account Information

When you optionally create an account, manage your profile, or interact with account-based features:

• Name / Username: Used to personalize your experience and display your profile to other users.

• Email Address: Used for account registration, secure authentication, password resets, and essential service announcements.

• Third-Party Sign-In Data & OAuth Tokens: Generated when you authenticate via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple (including Apple's Private Relay email addresses).

• Profile Photos: If you optionally choose to upload an avatar/photo to customize your profile.

c. Guest Browsing (No Account Required)

In compliance with Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v), users may freely explore the app, view venue profiles, check operating hours, view maps, and perform searches as a Guest without registering, logging in, or providing any personal information. Account creation is strictly optional and only required when participating in account-specific actions, such as voting on a venue's live open/closed status.

d. Device, Usage, and Diagnostics Data

We and our authorized third-party service providers collect standard technical information:

• Device Identifiers: Device model, operating system version, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification tokens, Google Advertising ID (AAID) on Android, and Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS (subject to the App Tracking Transparency framework).

• App Activity & Analytics: In-app searches, venue views, interaction timestamps, and navigation metrics.

• App Diagnostics: Crash logs, performance telemetry, and network responsiveness metrics to ensure platform stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process personal information only for legitimate business and service purposes:

• Core Functionality: Discovering open bars, nightlife venues, map locations, real-time operating status, and managing your user profile.

• Account Management & Authentication: Verifying user credentials, managing secure sessions, and handling account recovery.

• Direct & Third-Party Advertising: Serving relevant advertisements via Google AdMob and displaying promotional sponsor venues.

• Essential Communications: Sending push alerts, service notifications, and support responses.

• Security & Fraud Prevention: Safeguarding against unauthorized activity, abuse, and technical faults.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

3. Advertising, Sponsorships, and Third-Party Services

a. Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK)

We display banner, interstitial, and open-app advertisements via Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, approximate location, and diagnostic information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Google Advertising Policies.

b. Promotional and Sponsored Content

We may feature promotional venue listings, sponsored badges, or banner advertisements from direct business partners and venues. We do not share your personal identifying information (such as your name, email, or exact GPS coordinates) with sponsors. Interactions with sponsored venues occur entirely within the app under this Privacy Policy.

c. Google Maps API

We use Google Maps APIs to display interactive maps and calculate distances. Location queries are processed in accordance with the Google Maps Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

d. Firebase Services (Google LLC)

We utilize Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for reliable push notifications and Firebase infrastructure for backend security and authentication.

4. Apple iOS Specific Provisions

a. App Tracking Transparency (ATT) Framework

On iOS 14.5 and later, any collection of the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for cross-app advertising or tracking purposes is subject to your explicit authorization through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) system dialog. If you choose "Ask App not to Track", we do not collect or link your IDFA for tracking purposes, and only non-personalized or contextual ads will be delivered.

b. Sign in with Apple & Private Relay

We fully support Sign in with Apple. When utilizing Apple's "Hide My Email" Private Relay service, we receive an anonymized relay email address (@privaterelay.appleid.com) managed by Apple. We treat your private relay email with the same rigorous protections as standard email addresses.

5. Account and Data Deletion Policy

In strict accordance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play policies, users maintain complete autonomy over their accounts and data. You may permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time:

Option 1: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)

1. Open the Fohyou app and log into your account.

2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.

3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account".

4. Confirm by tapping "Delete" in the confirmation dialog.
   Your account credentials, profile details, and personal records will be immediately and permanently purged from our active databases.

Option 2: Web / Email Deletion Request

If you cannot access the app or have already removed it from your device:

1. Send an email to fohyouapp@gmail.com.

2. Include the subject line: Account Deletion Request - Fohyou.

3. Provide your registered account email address.

4. Following identity verification, your account and all associated records will be permanently deleted within 7 to 30 business days.

Data Removed Upon Deletion:

• Name, username, and email address (or Apple Private Relay ID).

• Profile pictures, avatars, and custom preferences.

• Authentication tokens, OAuth credentials, and FCM push tokens.

• User voting history, saved venues, and search records.

Aggregated, anonymized telemetry or records required to satisfy statutory legal compliance will be retained only as mandated by law.

6. Data Security & Encryption in Transit

We employ comprehensive technical and administrative safeguards:

• Encryption in Transit: All communications between the Fohyou application and our servers are encrypted using modern HTTPS / Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 / 1.3).

• Secure Storage: Sensitive credentials and authentication tokens are securely hashed and stored in encrypted databases.

• Access Controls: Restricted access protocols prevent unauthorized data exposure, modification, or breach.

7. Children’s Privacy (Age Restriction: 18+)

Fohyou is strictly intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older due to nightlife and bar venue content. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process personal data from children or individuals under the age of 18. If we discover that personal data of an individual under 18 has been inadvertently collected, we will take prompt steps to delete such data from our systems.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect app enhancements, regulatory revisions, or operational changes. When modifications occur, the "Last Updated" date at the beginning of this document will be updated. We encourage you to review this page periodically to remain informed of our privacy commitments.
