Welcome to Portfolio Tracker Pro. We believe financial data is profoundly personal. Our core architectural principle is Local-First & Zero-Knowledge Privacy: your portfolio holdings, transaction records, watchlists, and financial calculations remain on your device. We do not operate tracking databases, we do not monetize user data, and we do not sell your personal or financial information to third parties.
Unlike traditional fintech apps:
No Brokerage Account Credentials: Portfolio Tracker Pro never asks for your broker passwords, MPINs, or two-factor authentication (2FA) codes. You import anonymized statements (CSV, Excel, or CAS PDF exports) which are parsed entirely within your device's browser memory or local app sandbox.
No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not require your real name, physical address, Social Security / PAN number, government ID, or phone number to use the app.
No Analytics / Telemetry Trackers: We do not embed behavioral tracker SDKs (such as Facebook Pixel, Adjust, AppsFlyer, or invasive ad networks).
When using Portfolio Tracker Pro:
Portfolio Data: Quantities, purchase prices, ticker symbols, allocation splits, and custom tags are stored locally in your device's localStorage / IndexedDB.
User Preferences: Selected visual theme (dark/light), display language, currency preference, and font size scales are stored locally.
API Keys (Optional): If you choose to configure custom AI API keys (e.g., OpenRouter, Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, Anthropic, OpenAI), these keys are obfuscated and stored strictly inside your local device storage. They are never transmitted to our servers.
To provide market quotes and fundamental insights, the app communicates with the following external endpoints:
Public Market Quotes (CoinGecko API):
Used to fetch cryptocurrency pricing for tracked crypto symbols (e.g., BTC, ETH, SOL).
Only public token identifiers are sent in the query string. No user account or balance data is transmitted.
AI Screener & Fundamentals (Optional / Keyless):
When you open the stock screener, the app analyzes asset fundamentals (P/E ratio, market cap, analyst consensus, recent news).
By default, requests run via the Free AI Engine or keyless routers without requiring an account.
If you provide a personal API key, calls are made directly from your device to that provider's official API endpoint. Only the stock symbol and public market figures are passed in the prompt.
Important AI & Analyst Ratings Caution: AI-generated analyses, ratings, target prices, and sentiment scores can make mistakes, contain inaccuracies, or rely on delayed/simulated market data. Portfolio Tracker Pro and its AI Screener are not a financial advisor.
Analyst Ratings Definitions: Analyst Ratings reflect the opinions of analysts and research models that follow companies and financial markets:
Strong Buy: Analysts are bullish on the performance of the stock.
Buy: Analysts expect this stock to outperform its industry in the market and have provided a mild buy rating.
Hold: Analysts are neutral on the performance of the stock.
Sell: Analysts expect this stock to underperform its industry in the market and have provided a mild sell rating.
Strong Sell: Analysts are bearish on the performance of the stock.
Consensus & Target Price: The number shown for each rating is the number of analysts who have provided that rating. The consensus rating and target price come from the numerical average of ratings the analysts have provided. The percentage upside/downside is the difference between the current price and the consensus Target Price.

Portfolio Tracker Pro requests minimal system permissions:
Storage / File Access: Used exclusively when you manually select a CSV, Excel, or statement file to import your portfolio.
Network / Internet: Required to retrieve public market prices and financial news for holdings.
Camera / Microphone / Location: NEVER requested or used.
Because all portfolio information resides on your local device:
You retain 100% control over your data at all times.
You can permanently purge all stored data instantly by opening Settings ⚙ > Storage > "Clear All Data", or by clearing the app data / cache in your Android or iOS device settings.
GDPR (European Union): We practice data minimization by default. Since we do not collect, process, or store personal data on remote servers, no personal profiling or data transfers occur.
CCPA / CPRA (California, USA): We do not sell or share consumer personal information.
Apple App Store & Google Play Store Guidelines: Fully compliant with financial privacy mandates, AI transparency disclosures, and on-device processing safety standards.
Portfolio Tracker Pro is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or platform requirements. Any updates will be published with a revised "Last Updated" date.
