# Privacy Policy for Connect Participant Assistant

Connect Participant Assistant is a Chrome extension designed to help CloudResearch Connect participants organize their work activity and insert their Connect ID into editable webpage fields.
## Information Processed
When you use the extension on CloudResearch Connect, it may process information already displayed or returned by the Connect website, including:
- Connect account information
- Connect ID
- Email address
- Work and project history
- Project status
- Requester names
- Rewards and earnings information
- Quality score and account status
- Local dashboard preferences
The extension may also process the Connect ID stored in your browser when you explicitly choose **Input Connect ID** from the right-click menu.
## Local Storage
The information used by Connect Participant Assistant is stored in the browser’s local extension storage on your device.
This local storage allows the dashboard, preferences, and saved Connect ID to remain available when you reopen the browser or move between tabs.
## No Developer Data Collection
Connect Participant Assistant does not send your Connect account information, email address, Connect ID, work history, requester information, rewards, or quality score to the extension developer.
The extension does not:
- Sell personal information
- Use information for advertising
- Include advertising
- Include analytics or tracking
- Create user profiles
- Upload participant information
- Share participant information with the developer
- Use information for unrelated purposes
## Connect Website
The extension works with information available on CloudResearch Connect pages. CloudResearch Connect may separately process information according to its own privacy policy and terms.
This privacy policy applies only to Connect Participant Assistant and not to CloudResearch Connect or any other website.
## Connect ID Insertion
The **Input Connect ID** feature runs only after you explicitly select the context-menu option on an editable field.
The extension does not automatically enter your Connect ID into webpages. It cannot modify browser-internal pages such as `chrome://` pages because Chrome restricts extensions from accessing those pages.
## Permissions
Connect Participant Assistant uses the following permissions:
### Storage
The storage permission is used to save local dashboard information, preferences, and your Connect ID in the browser.
### Context Menus
The context-menu permission is used to provide the explicit **Input Connect ID** right-click action.
### Active Tab and Scripting
These permissions are used only when you explicitly select **Input Connect ID**. They allow the extension to insert your Connect ID into the editable field where you selected the action.
The extension does not continuously run on ordinary webpages.
## Data Retention and Deletion
You control the information stored by the extension.
You can delete locally stored information by:
1. Opening Chrome extension settings.
2. Opening the Connect Participant Assistant settings.
3. Clearing the extension’s stored data.
Uninstalling the extension also removes its locally stored browser data according to Chrome’s extension storage behavior.
## Security
The extension is designed to keep dashboard information in local browser storage. You should keep Chrome and your operating system updated and use a secure device account.
No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so users should protect access to their browser and device.
## Children’s Privacy
Connect Participant Assistant is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
## Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated if the extension’s features or privacy practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
