Canned Manager Pro is a Chrome extension designed to help users manage and reuse frequently used chat responses and email templates for faster, consistent communication. We are committed to maintaining the privacy of all our users and ensuring full transparency regarding the data we collect and how it is used.

This privacy policy outlines what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights users have in relation to their data.

2. Data We Collect

By default, Canned Manager Pro does not collect or transmit any personal or sensitive user data to any server. All operational data is stored locally in your browser’s extension storage.

However, we may handle the following types of data:

a) Locally Stored Data

Stored only in the user's browser via chrome.storage.local:

• Company unlock status (password-based flag)
  
  

None of this data leaves your browser unless optional sync is manually triggered by the user.

b) Optional Sync Data

If the user chooses to enable Google Sheets sync (via CSV URLs), the extension will:

• Fetch template content from public CSV files (read-only)
  
  

• Update usage logs to a Google Sheet (if feedback logging is enabled)
  
  

• Never modify or upload content unless explicitly configured
  
  

We do not store, process, or transmit any credentials, cookies, or Google account data.

c) Permissions Used

• storage: To store templates, preferences, and metadata locally
  
  

• activeTab: To allow insertion of content into the active input field
  
  

• <all_urls>: To show the floating panel and detect inputs across websites
  
  

These permissions are solely used to fulfill the extension’s stated functionality.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information (PII)
  
  

• Usernames, passwords, or authentication tokens
  
  

• Chat or email content typed by the user
  
  

• Financial, health, or location information
  
  

• Web history or browsing behavior

All functionality is self-contained within the extension.

5. User Control & Data Deletion

Users have full control over their data:

• Templates and preferences can be edited or deleted manually
  
  

• Users may uninstall the extension at any time to delete all data
  
  

• If sync is enabled, users may clear their Google Sheet manually
  
  

We do not retain any backups or copies of user content.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy if new features are added that affect data usage. Updates will be posted via our public site or developer listing. Continued use of the extension after an update constitutes acceptance.
