IMDb Watch is an independent browser extension and is not affiliated with IMDb.

Data we handle

The extension reads limited information from the currently open IMDb title or episode page, such as the IMDb title identifier, title type, series name, season number, and episode number. This information is used only to determine whether to display a Play button and to provide the requested playback feature.

How data is used and shared

The extension retrieves a catalog of supported title identifiers from vidapi.ru. When the user clicks Play, the selected IMDb title identifier is used to load an external video player from vaplayer.ru.

The extension does not collect names, email addresses, passwords, payment information, location data, browsing history, or personal communications. It does not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness.

Storage

The extension stores a temporary local cache of the supported-title catalog in Chrome storage to improve performance. This cache contains catalog data only and does not contain personal information.

Data retention

The locally stored catalog cache is refreshed periodically. The extension does not maintain a user profile or a record of the user’s viewing activity.

Third-party services

External services, including vidapi.ru and vaplayer.ru, may have their own privacy practices. This policy covers the IMDb Watch extension itself.
