Privacy Policy for ChatBridge

Effective Date: September 22, 2026

ChatBridge respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the ChatBridge mobile application, why it is processed, where it is stored, and what choices you have.

1. Overview

ChatBridge allows you to start conversations in supported messaging applications without first saving a phone number to your device’s contacts.

ChatBridge does not require you to create an account.

Most information created within ChatBridge is stored locally on your device. We also use Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage and improve the application.

2. Information Stored Locally

ChatBridge may store the following information locally on your device:

This information is used to provide ChatBridge features such as History, Recent, Favorites, contact customization, and appearance settings.

This locally stored information is not intentionally uploaded to a server operated by ChatBridge.

3. Firebase Analytics

ChatBridge uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve performance, reliability, usability, and feature design.

Firebase Analytics may automatically process information such as:

Analytics information is generally used in an aggregated manner. ChatBridge does not intentionally send the phone numbers, labels, notes, or message contents entered by you to Firebase Analytics.

We do not use Firebase Analytics events to record complete phone numbers or the contents of your notes.

Firebase Analytics is provided by Google. Google may process analytics information according to its own privacy policies and data-processing terms.

4. Phone Numbers and Messaging Services

When you choose a supported messaging service, ChatBridge uses the phone number you entered to create a link or request for that service.

The number may then be passed to, or opened by, the selected messaging application or website.

Supported services may include:

ChatBridge also supports Apple's built-in Messages application. After entering a phone number, you may choose Messages to open the native messaging composer for that number. Any message you send is composed and sent through Apple's Messages application, not through ChatBridge.

This transfer or opening of the selected messaging service occurs only after you choose a messaging service or an action that opens it.

ChatBridge does not provide an in-app chat or messaging service and does not send messages on your behalf. ChatBridge acts only as a bridge between the phone number you enter and the messaging application you choose.

Once a third-party app or website is opened, its own privacy policy and terms apply. ChatBridge does not control how these third-party services process information.

ChatBridge is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Viber, or their respective owners.

5. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

ChatBridge does not intentionally collect or upload the following information to a ChatBridge-operated server:

ChatBridge does not require access to your contacts to start a conversation.

6. Advertising and Tracking

ChatBridge does not currently display third-party advertisements.

ChatBridge does not sell or rent personal information.

ChatBridge does not intentionally use information collected through Firebase Analytics to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

ChatBridge does not currently request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework because the app is not intended to perform cross-app or cross-website tracking.

If advertising or tracking functionality is introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the relevant permission flow will be updated before that functionality is used.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be processed by the following categories of service providers:

Google Firebase

Google Firebase processes analytics and technical information to provide app usage reports and related analytics services.

Messaging Applications

A phone number may be passed to or opened by a messaging service when you intentionally choose to open that service.

This includes Apple's built-in Messages application. When you choose Messages, ChatBridge opens Apple's native messaging composer for the phone number you entered. ChatBridge does not access, read, store, or control the messages you send through Apple's Messages application.

For third-party messaging applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, or Viber, the selected application handles the messaging activity according to its own privacy policy and terms.

Legal Requirements

Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request. Because most ChatBridge content is stored only on your device, we generally do not possess that locally stored content.

8. Data Retention

Phone numbers, labels, notes, favorites, history, and preferences stored by ChatBridge remain on your device until you remove them, clear eligible history, uninstall the app, or erase the relevant device data.

Favorite entries may be preserved when you clear general history so that they remain available in Favorites, History, and Recent sections until you remove them.

Firebase Analytics data is retained according to the Firebase and Google Analytics configuration associated with ChatBridge and Google’s applicable retention policies.

9. Deleting Your Data

You may manage locally stored data by:

Uninstalling the application generally removes locally stored application data, subject to Apple’s device backup, restoration, and operating-system behavior.

ChatBridge does not currently provide user accounts. Therefore, there is no ChatBridge account to delete.

For questions concerning analytics information, contact us using the information provided below.

10. Data Security

ChatBridge is designed to minimize data collection by keeping contact-related information locally on your device.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the application. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your device, passcode, Apple Account, and third-party messaging accounts secure.

11. Children’s Privacy

ChatBridge is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13, or the minimum applicable age in their country.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through a ChatBridge account because the app does not provide account registration.

If you believe a child has provided personal information that is processed through our services, contact us so that we can review the request.

12. International Data Processing

Firebase Analytics is provided by Google and may process information on servers located outside your country or region.

Applicable privacy protections and contractual safeguards are determined by Google’s terms, Firebase documentation, and relevant law.
