Thank you for using Animate (“the App”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, and protects information when you use it.

Information We Collect

Animate does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App.

Your Drawings and Animations

Everything you create in Animate is stored locally on your device, in the App’s private storage. This includes drawings, animations, colour palettes and project files. The App does not upload, store, or transmit your projects to our servers.

When you export an animation, the App saves the exported file (MP4 video, GIF, or PNG images) to your device’s Movies or Pictures folder. These files leave your device only if you choose to share them, for example using the Share button or your device’s file features.

When you import an image or a project file, you pick it yourself using Android’s system file or photo picker. The App only receives the file you choose and cannot see the rest of your photos or files.

Advertising

Animate is free and displays advertisements through Google AdMob, including a banner in the gallery and a full-screen ad when an export starts.

Google AdMob may collect certain information to provide personalized or non-personalized advertisements, including:

Advertising ID
Device information
IP address
App usage and ad interaction information
Diagnostic information

Consent for Ads (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the App asks for your consent before showing ads, using Google’s consent tool. You can change your choice at any time using the “Ad privacy” button on the App’s main screen.

You can also reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on your device).

App Ratings

The App may occasionally ask whether you would like to rate it, using Google Play’s in-app review feature. This is handled entirely by Google Play. The App does not receive your rating, your review, or any information about whether you left one.

How We Use Information

The App uses information only to:

Save your drawings, animations and settings on your device.
Export and share your animations when you choose to.
Display advertisements through Google AdMob.
Request ad consent where required by law.
Improve app stability and performance.

Data Storage

Your projects and settings remain on your device. We do not maintain servers that store your projects or personal data. If you uninstall the App, its projects are deleted from your device, unless you exported them first. Exported videos and images in your Movies and Pictures folders are not deleted.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.

Information collected by Google AdMob is handled according to Google’s own privacy practices.

Permissions

Animate does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, or files.

The App uses the following permissions, which are added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to show ads:

Internet and network state: to load advertisements.
Advertising ID (including Android’s Privacy Sandbox ad services): to show relevant ads and measure their performance, subject to your choices in device settings.

Children’s Privacy

Animate is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
