Anaunce: Speak Notifications (“the App”) is published by PrashConfig Apps.

2. Information We Collect and Process

a) Notification Data

The App reads notification content (such as app name, title, and message text) only on your device in order to announce it using text-to-speech.
✅ This data is never transmitted, stored on servers, or shared externally.

b) Installed App List

The App reads installed app names and package names only so you can choose which apps should be announced.
On newer Android versions, this access is restricted to launcher (user-visible) apps only via declared package queries.
✅ This information stays strictly on your device and is never uploaded or shared.

c) Local App Data

Your preferences, custom announcement texts, and settings are stored locally on your device using Room/DataStore.

d) Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

The App displays ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

• Device identifiers (including Advertising ID / AD_ID)
  
  

• IP address
  
  

• Coarse location
  
  

• Ad interaction and performance data
  
  

This data is collected and processed directly by Google under their own privacy policy.

e) Crash & Diagnostics

✅ We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or diagnostics ourselves.
If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use data only to:

• Announce notifications you permit through text-to-speech

5. Permissions and Their Purposes

• android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS – To receive and announce notifications
  
  

• Notification Listener Access – To read allowed notifications locally for speech
  
  

• android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE – Used with a standard media playback foreground service to read notifications aloud and show a visible system notification while text-to-speech is running
  
  

• android.permission.WAKE_LOCK – To briefly keep the device awake during announcement playback
  
  

• android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – To restore announcement functionality after device reboot
  
  

• android.permission.REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS – Optional; improves reliability if you allow it
  
  

• com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID – Required for AdMob advertising
  
  

✅ No broad package visibility permission (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES) is used.
✅ No special-use foreground service is used.

6. Data Storage & Retention

• Notification content is processed in memory only and never stored.
  
  

• App settings and preferences remain on your device until:
  
  

  • You uninstall the App, or
    
    

  • You manually clear the App’s data
    
    

• AdMob retains advertising data according to Google’s privacy policies.
  
  

7. Security

• All processing happens locally on your device.
  
  

• We do not operate any backend servers.
  
  

• Users are responsible for securing their own devices using PIN, password, or biometric protection.
  
  

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If we become aware that such data has been collected, it will be deleted immediately.

9. Your Choices and Controls

You may:

• Disable Notification Listener access at any time in system settings
  
  

• Enable or disable announcements per app
  
  

• Clear local data or uninstall the App
  
  

• Reset or limit ad personalization using your device’s advertising settings
  
  

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The updated version will be reflected with a new “Last updated” date.
For major changes, users may also be notified within the App.
