AI Telemetry is a local-first browser extension designed to help users track their usage of supported AI applications.
AI Telemetry does not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal information.
The extension does not collect:
User prompts
AI conversations
Account credentials
Personal data
Browsing history outside supported AI websites
AI Telemetry may access the length of text entered into supported AI applications solely for the purpose of estimating token usage.
The extension does not store, transmit, process, analyze, or retain the contents of user prompts or AI conversations.
Only aggregate statistics such as estimated token counts are retained locally on the user's device.
To provide usage analytics, AI Telemetry stores the following information locally on the user's device:
Time spent on supported AI websites
Visit counts
Usage statistics
User preferences
This information is stored exclusively using Chrome Extension local storage and never leaves the user's device.
AI Telemetry does not:
Send data to external servers
Share data with third parties
Sell user information
Use advertising or tracking technologies
AI Telemetry does not use remote servers, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or third-party tracking tools.
The extension operates only on the following websites:
chatgpt.com
claude.ai
gemini.google.com
perplexity.ai
The extension accesses these websites solely to measure usage activity and generate local analytics.
All usage data remains stored locally within the user's browser environment and is controlled by the user.
