PDF Reader & Editor (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "the App") prioritizes your privacy and document security. This Privacy Policy clearly explains our practices for collecting, using, and protecting your data to ensure a transparent and trustworthy service experience.
We only collect data that is strictly necessary to support the App's core functions and improve your daily use experience. We never collect unnecessary information or access your private document content without your explicit permission.

The App requires access to your device storage to open, read, edit, and save PDF files
When using the scanning feature, the App may access your device camera to capture images for conversion to PDF format
Critical Privacy Guarantee: All document processing (including reading, editing, scanning, conversion, annotation, and merging) happens entirely locally on your device. We never upload, transmit, or store the content of your PDF files, images, or any private documents on any external server.
Core Service Delivery: To execute PDF reading, editing, document scanning, format conversion, annotation, bookmark management, and file organization functions you request.
Product Improvement: To diagnose technical anomalies, fix bugs, optimize document processing algorithms, and refine the user interface and interaction experience.
User Support & Communication: To respond to your feedback and inquiries, and send necessary service-related notifications (such as important feature updates).
The App only requests device permissions that are essential for specific functions:
Storage Permission: Required to access and save PDF files on your device
Camera Permission: Required only when you use the document scanning feature
You have the right to grant or revoke these permissions at any time through your device's system settings. Please note that revoking certain permissions may limit the App's ability to perform corresponding functions (e.g., you will not be able to open PDF files if storage permission is denied).
We will never sell any of your personal data or document information to external parties. We only share user information under the following limited and strictly controlled circumstances:
Authorized Service Partners: We cooperate with trusted third-party platforms to support basic App operations, including:

Data Retention: We only retain usage logs and technical data for a reasonable period necessary for service improvement (typically 90 days). After this period, data is either deleted or anonymized.
Local Document Safety: As all document processing occurs locally on your device, your files remain under your full control at all times. No document content is ever stored on our servers. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally cached data generated by the application.
Access and Inquiry: You have the right to request details of the personal data we retain related to you.
Data Deletion: You may contact us to apply for deleting your relevant personal information. Uninstalling the App will also clear all local cached data and document processing records.
Opt-out Option: You can disable personalized advertising and data tracking through your device's Google system settings.
This App is not designed for users under the age of 13. We do not intentionally collect any information from underage users. If we accidentally obtain relevant minor data, we will delete it immediately once discovered.
We may revise this Privacy Policy occasionally to adapt to regulatory changes or App function adjustments. We will update the effective date at the top of the page, and material changes will be notified via in-app reminders. Continued use of the App after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
