# Memory Picker — Privacy & Security Policy (English)

## 1) What this extension does

Memory Picker lets you scan the current page for text, save selected snippets as local “Memories”, and insert them later with an optional instruction. It runs entirely in your browser.

## 2) Data collection & storage

- **No account, no server, no cloud.** We do not send data to external servers.

- **Local-only storage.** Your Memories, settings (language, instruction), and per-tab scan history are stored using `chrome.storage` (sync or local depending on your build) within your browser profile.

- **Clipboard fallback.** When automatic insertion is not possible, the composed text may be copied to your clipboard **only after your action** so you can paste it.

## 3) Permissions and why

- `activeTab`: Act only on the current tab when you interact with the extension.

- `scripting`: Inject minimal content scripts to read selected text and insert/highlight on demand.

- `storage`: Store Memories and settings locally.

- `contextMenus` (optional): Save selected text via right-click.

## 4) Security & handling of data

- No remote code execution; content scripts are static and permission-scoped.

- No third-party SDKs, tracking, or analytics.

- You can delete individual Memories, all Memories, or per-tab history from the UI at any time.

## 5) Children’s privacy

This productivity tool is not directed to children. It stores only what you explicitly choose to save locally.

We may update this policy as the extension evolves. Material changes will be reflected here and in the extension modal.

## 1) Tiện ích làm gì

Memory Picker quét trang hiện tại, lưu các đoạn bạn chọn thành “Memories” cục bộ, và chèn lại sau này kèm instruction (tuỳ chọn). Mọi thao tác diễn ra trong trình duyệt của bạn.

## 2) Thu thập & lưu trữ dữ liệu

- **Không tài khoản, không máy chủ, không đám mây.** Không gửi dữ liệu ra ngoài.

- **Lưu trữ cục bộ.** Memories, cài đặt (ngôn ngữ, instruction) và lịch sử theo tab được lưu bằng `chrome.storage` (sync hoặc local tuỳ bản dựng) trong hồ sơ trình duyệt của bạn.

- **Sao chép vào clipboard (khi cần).** Khi không thể chèn tự động, văn bản đã ghép có thể được sao chép vào clipboard **chỉ khi bạn bấm thực hiện** để dán thủ công.

## 3) Quyền truy cập và lý do

- `activeTab`: Chỉ thao tác trên tab hiện tại khi bạn tương tác.

- `scripting`: Chèn script tối thiểu để đọc vùng chọn và chèn/tô sáng khi bạn bấm nút.

- `storage`: Lưu Memories và cài đặt cục bộ.

- `contextMenus` (tuỳ chọn): Lưu nhanh vùng chọn qua menu chuột phải.

## 4) Bảo mật & xử lý dữ liệu

- Không thực thi mã từ xa; content script tĩnh và bị giới hạn quyền.

- Không tích hợp SDK bên thứ ba, không theo dõi/analytics.

- Bạn có thể xoá từng Memory, xoá toàn bộ Memory, hoặc xoá lịch sử theo tab ngay trong giao diện.

## 5) Quyền riêng tư của trẻ em

Đây là công cụ năng suất, **không nhắm tới trẻ em**; tiện ích chỉ lưu nội dung bạn chủ động lưu.

## 6) Thay đổi chính sách

Chính sách có thể được cập nhật theo phiên bản. Mọi thay đổi quan trọng sẽ được thể hiện ở đây và trong modal của tiện ích.
