Domano Counter App ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the application.
By using the app, you agree to the terms described in this policy.
We do not require account registration and we do not collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, or location.
The app requests access to your device camera solely for:
Scanning domino pieces
Detecting and counting dots using an on-device AI model
All AI processing happens locally on your device using TensorFlow Lite.
No camera footage is streamed or recorded without user interaction.
If a user chooses to report an incorrect AI detection:
The captured image may be temporarily stored on the device.
The image may be uploaded to a secure cloud storage service (Cloudinary) for AI model improvement purposes.
Images are automatically compressed before upload.
Uploaded images are used strictly for improving detection accuracy.
If the device is offline, images are stored locally and uploaded automatically once internet connectivity is restored.
Images are deleted locally after successful upload.
For file organization and AI training improvements, limited non-personal device information may be used, including:
Device brand
Device model
A hashed, anonymized device identifier
This information is used only for improving AI training quality and is not used for tracking users.
The app stores the following data locally on your device:
Game scores
Team names
Win counts
Game history logs
AI feedback queue data
This data never leaves your device except for AI feedback images described above.
Internet access is required only for:
Uploading AI training images (if user reports incorrect detection)
Synchronizing pending uploads in background
Core features such as score tracking and AI domino detection work fully offline.
The app may run periodic background tasks to upload pending AI feedback images when internet connectivity is available.
No background activity collects personal data.
We do not sell, trade, or share user data with third parties.
Uploaded training images are stored securely via Cloudinary and are used exclusively for improving the domino detection model.
We implement reasonable technical safeguards including:
Secure cloud upload authentication
API credentials not hardcoded in the app
On-device AI inference
Local encrypted storage mechanisms where applicable
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Since no personal data is collected, the app is considered safe for general audiences.
Users may:
Use the app fully offline
Disable camera usage by not accessing the scanning feature
Clear all local data using the in-app reset option
Choose whether or not to submit AI feedback images
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
