Egg Focus ("we," "our," or "the App") is a study planner and Pomodoro focus tracker. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We collect only what is necessary to provide app functionality.
2a. Data stored locally on your device (no account required)
All core app data is stored on your device using local storage and never leaves your device unless you choose to sign in (see Section 2b):
Collections, tasks, task notes, and custom categories.
Pomodoro session history and cycle reviews.
Focus achievements and daily task logs.
App settings (timer durations, ambient sound preferences).
Display name (optional).
2b. Data collected when you sign in with Google (optional)
Signing in is optional and only needed for cross-device sync. If you choose to sign in with Google, we access:
Your Google account email address, display name, and profile photo — used solely to identify your account within the app.
Your app data listed in Section 2a is synced to Firebase Firestore (Google's cloud database) under your account to enable cross-device access.
You can sign out at any time from Settings, which stops all cloud sync.
2c. Google Calendar data (optional, Yolkie Pro only)
If you explicitly enable Google Calendar sync, the app sends your collection schedules (title, start/end dates) to your personal Google Calendar via the Google Calendar API. This data goes directly to your own Google account and is not stored on our servers.
2d. In-app purchase information
Egg Focus offers a Yolkie Pro subscription via Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play — we do not collect, see, or store your payment card or financial credentials. The app only receives a confirmation that a valid purchase exists, which is stored locally on your device to unlock Pro features.
We utilize the compiled details strictly for the following purposes:
Local app data: Used to power your dashboards, timer, stats, and achievements.
Google account info: Used to identify your sync account and display your name/photo.
Firestore sync data: Used to restore your data when signing in on a new device.
Calendar data: Used to create/update events in your own Google Calendar.
Purchase confirmation: Used to unlock and restore Yolkie Pro features.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or analytics.
The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
Google Sign-In & Firebase Auth — account authentication (Google Privacy Policy).
Firebase Firestore — cloud data storage for signed-in users (Google).
Google Play Billing — in-app purchase processing (Google).
Google Calendar API — optional calendar sync (Google).
Egg Focus provides you with full control over your personal data. If you have chosen to sign in with Google and sync your study history to our cloud, you can request full data deletion at any time:
Data Deletion Request: To permanently delete your synced cloud data and unlink your Google profile from our database, simply reach out to us at reviewmeegg@gmail.com.
Processing Time: Upon receiving and verifying your email request, we will completely purge your Firebase Firestore records within 30 days.
Local Data: Please note that cloud deletion does not affect your local device. To erase your offline study logs completely, you can clear the App’s cache or uninstall Egg Focus from your device.
Egg Focus is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Use the app fully without signing in — no personal data leaves your device.
Sign out at any time to stop cloud sync.
Disable Google Calendar sync at any time in Settings.
Delete your account data by contacting us.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
