Hi!

I am Pritom Bose, a mechanical engineering graduate, currently working towards PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 'Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering Department', Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. I completed my undergraduate education from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

All along my life, I've been curious about how and where all the human knowledge are bred. The quest for this question led me to an early acquaintance with the research arena in my undergraduate life. Since the sophomore year, I've tried to be active in some or other forms of research activities, to mainly make myself introduced with different useful tools.

My research interest is pivoted to the Molecular Origin of the Strength of Materials and Surface Chemistry of Low Dimensional Materials. I am interested in the thermal and vibrational properties as well. Currently I am working with atomistic modeling of Bio-polymers, Graphene-Water heteroepitaxial system, Graphene-TMD heterostructures, Functionally Graded Metals and many more. By the by, I'm interested about the possible hybridization of Molecular Simulations and Machine Learning Techniques to predict material behavior in a larger scale with minimal information as input.

Please visit my research page to have a glimpse of my current and finished research projects. It'll be very kind of you to place your feedback about my works and research interest.
