Privacy Policy for Prism Clean — Storage Cleaner
Last updated: August 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Prism Clean — Storage Cleaner ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use our Android application, package name com.mgs.prismclean.storageclean.
Prism Clean is designed to do its work — finding junk files, tracking storage, battery, and data usage — directly on your device. We do not require an account, we do not collect the content of your files, and we do not sell personal data.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information processed entirely on your device (not sent to us)
To provide its core features, the App reads certain data using Android's own system APIs. This information is processed locally on your device to display results to you and is not transmitted to our servers, because we don't operate any:
Storage information — used/free space, file sizes, file names and paths, media metadata (via StorageStatsManager and MediaStore), used for the Storage & Trash, Photo/Video Cleanup, and Messaging Deep Clean tools.
App usage information — installed app list, app sizes, and last-used timestamps (via UsageStatsManager and PackageManager, requires the optional Usage Access permission), used for the App Management tool.
Battery information — charge level, voltage, temperature, and charging status (via BatteryManager), used for the Battery Optimizer tool.
Device performance information — memory and thermal status, used for the System Health tool.
App permission and install-source information — which permissions installed apps request and whether they were sideloaded, used for the heuristic Security Scan tool. This is a permission/install-source check only, not malware-signature scanning.
Network data usage statistics — daily mobile and Wi-Fi data consumption (via NetworkStatsManager), used for the Data Usage tool.
None of the above is uploaded to us. It stays on your device and is only used to show you the results within the App.
1.2 Information collected automatically by third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect information as described in their own privacy policies:
Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) We use Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage patterns (such as which screens are used) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash and error reports so we can fix bugs. This may include device information (device model, OS version, language, approximate location derived from IP address), app usage events, and diagnostic/crash logs. This data is associated with an installation-level identifier, not your name or email. Learn more: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google AdMob The App displays ads (native, interstitial, and app-open ad formats) served by Google AdMob to support free use of the App. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers (such as your Android Advertising ID), device information, approximate location, and interact with cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. Learn more: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's Settings (Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization) or reset your advertising identifier at any time.
1.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account information, because the App does not require sign-up or login. We do not access, read, or transmit the content of your photos, videos, messages, or documents to any server.
2. How We Use Information
Information described in Section 1.2 is used to:
Operate, maintain, and improve the App
Diagnose and fix crashes and technical issues
Display and measure advertising that supports free use of the App
Understand aggregate, anonymized usage trends
3. Permissions the App Requests
The App requests only the permissions each tool actually needs, requested individually when you first open that tool — never all at once:
Permission Why it's needed
Usage Access (special access) Real last-used dates for installed apps and data-usage tracking
All Files Access (special access) Finding large files, system logs, and messaging-app media in shared storage
Photos and Videos / Storage Duplicate photo/video detection and cleanup
Notifications Alerting you when junk accumulates or battery runs low
You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time via Android Settings > Apps > Prism Clean > Permissions.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your information. We share limited information only with the service providers named in Section 1.2 (Google Firebase and Google AdMob), who act as independent data controllers/processors under their own privacy policies, and only as necessary to provide analytics, crash reporting, and advertising within the App.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
5. Data Retention
On-device information described in Section 1.1 is never stored by us — it exists only transiently while the App is running to render results to you. Data collected by Firebase and AdMob is retained according to their own retention policies, linked above.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.
7. Your Choices
Permissions: Grant or revoke any special or runtime permission at any time in Android Settings.
Ad personalization: Opt out via your device's Google Settings, as described in Section 1.2.
Analytics: You may disable ad personalization and limit analytics collection through your device-level Google Account and Ads settings.
Uninstall: Uninstalling the App stops all data collection associated with it going forward.
8. Security
We rely on Android's built-in app sandboxing and the security practices of our third-party service providers (Google Firebase, Google AdMob) to protect information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this same location with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
