Frank Miles bronze sculpture 'Steptoe' (Pelican) can be viewed at Lance Ferris wharf at Fawcett Park, on Ballina's Richmond River. Some of Frank's sculptures can be viewed at his gallery situated next to his studio in Alstonville. Works can also be ordered directly from his online gallery.

Frank is happy to provide a short tour of current work plus discuss techniques and designs, as well as private or public commissions. Frank remains very buoyant about art and so continues to create interesting and diverse sculptures. Everyone should have art around them, as it lifts the spirits and produces general well being.

The new facilities at the Ballina Memorial Swimming Pool opened in July 2018. The new facility includes:

Crawford House is the home of the Alstonville Plateau Historical Society, Community Resource Centre, and a small museum. In 2003 the Society restored this Federation style property which displays household items from the 1900s to the 1960s.

All presentations include a one hour informative talk by one of their trained volunteers, as well as a chance to see wildlife that may be in their care. Animals that you may get the opportunity to get a close-up look at may include pelicans, other sea birds, shore birds, and even the fascinating and endangered sea turtles.
