What do I need to get started with Chromecast?

You need the following to setup Chromecast in your home:

How do I know if my WiFi router supports Chromecast?

Google Chromecast needs a WiFi network setup by a WiFi router for smooth operation. The router needs to be Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n compatible. Plug and play WiFi dongles and WiFi hotspots created by Android smart-devices are not recommended.

Chromecast is compatible with most WiFi routers currently available in the market such as D-Link, Netgear, Cisco, Beetel and Binatone and have found it to work with most of them which are currently available in the market.
