PRESTWICK ACADEMY LIBRARY

LIBRARY OVERVIEW

Welcome to the Prestwick Academy Library website. Explore this site to find useful resources and guides for both parents and students. Students can also find book recommendations and order books through our school library service. All Prestwick Academy staff take pride in fostering a reading culture throughout the school and we run a number of whole school literacy-based initiatives each year, so we are delighted to have recently won the Reading Inspiration category of the First Minister's Reading Challenge and to achieve our GOLD Reading Schools accreditation. We are also very excited to be bringing Read Woke challenge to Scotland and South Ayrshire.

The library is open to all students and staff.

We have designated junior and senior areas for pupils to access books, study and relax.  Junior pupils will have timetabled library periods but all pupils are encouraged to access the library.

There are dedicated pages with useful links and learning at home resources in the student and parent sections of this website. We also encourage students and parents/carers to follow our Twitter account for regular updates and links to new resource materials.
Feel free to contact us for more information.
