This Privacy Policy applies to the Press Point mobile application (the “Application”), provided by Daniel Gordis (the “Service Provider”). The Application is provided on an “AS IS” basis.
The Application may collect and store information when you install and use it, including:
reading preferences (preferred session length, difficulty level, goals for minutes, sessions, and articles);
reading progress data (score, day streaks, number of articles and minutes read, session history);
saved and favorite articles;
achievements and unlock status;
username entered in profile settings;
notification preferences (daily reminders, streak reminders, weekly digest);
technical data required for the Application to function on your device.
Most of this information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to the Service Provider’s servers.
The Application does not continuously collect precise location data from your device. Location access is not requested.
For certain features, the Service Provider may request device permissions (for example, to send local notifications). You may deny or revoke permission in your device settings.
The Service Provider may disclose limited information to third parties in the following cases:
as required by law, court order, or other legal process;
to protect rights, user safety, and prevent fraud or abuse;
to trusted vendors (hosting, analytics, support) that process data on behalf of the Service Provider and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Where possible, data is shared in aggregated and anonymized form.
As of the publication of this Policy, the Application does not transmit your personal reading data to external servers operated by the Service Provider.
The Application does not use third-party analytics or crash monitoring services. All core functionality (progress, settings, library, achievements) operates without sending data to external analytics platforms.
If third-party tools are added in the future, this Policy will be updated and the relevant sections will be amended accordingly.
You can stop the collection and storage of information by:
uninstalling the Application using standard methods through the App Store or your device settings;
resetting progress or clearing reading history in the Settings section within the Application;
disabling notifications in your device settings.
The Service Provider retains user data:
for as long as you use the Application (data remains on your device);
for a reasonable period afterward, where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect legitimate interests.
Upon request, user data may be deleted unless retention is required by law. Uninstalling the Application from your device generally results in deletion of all locally stored data.
The Application is not directed to children under 13 (or such other age as required by local law). The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, please contact the Service Provider so that such data can be removed.
The Service Provider uses reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Because data is stored locally on your device, security also depends on your device settings and protection (password, Face ID, Touch ID, etc.).
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version becomes effective upon posting in the Application or on the relevant policy page. Continued use of the Application after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
Effective date: June 12, 2026
By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
If you have questions about privacy or data handling, please contact the Service Provider:
