Will it Magnify

Age Level: 2-4 year old

Goal of Lesson: have students look at certain items through a magnifying glass.

Learning Skills: Teach students how to use a magnify glass.

Materials: magnify glass and small items (paper clips, buttons, marbles, rice, etc)

1. Set up a plate/table/tray will items students can magnify such as paper clips and rice.

2. Have students use magnify glass to observe the different objects.

3. For an extra activity have students take their magnify glass outside or around the classroom to look at different objects up close.

4. Students will be able to see different objects textures or details that they may not be able to see with their naked eye.
