Age Level: 2-4 year old
Goal of Lesson: Challenge students to design and make an aluminum boat.
Learning Skills: Brainstorming, designing and building a craft
Materials: aluminum foil, tub of water, paperclips/pennies
1. Get one sheet of aluminum square that is pre-cut to the size of 2 inches by 2 inches.
2. Have students shape the aluminum into a boat.
3. Get another aluminum square and come up with another shape boat.
4. Place both boats into a tub of water. Inside the boat put either a paperclip or penny. Keep adding paperclips or pennies until one boat sinks.
