Age Level: 2-4 year old
Goal of Lesson: To design and build a structure out of toilet paper roll or paper towel rolls that will allow a marble to be transported from one paper roll to the next.
Learning Skills: Planning a circuit and designing a circuit. Being able to be creative, use resources, think outside the box, and learn from their mistakes.
Materials: 3-4 paper towel/toilet roll tubes, tape, printer paper, scissor, marble
1. Cut 3 paper towel or toilet paper roll tubes in half.
(If you do not have them, you can roll up paper to create a tube. Secure your paper roll with tape.)
2. Tape the paper tube to any hard surface to create a path for the marble to run along.
Be creative in your design path.
3. Once the “run” is created. Drop a marble at the start of the run and watch it roll to the end of its course.
