Age Level: 4+
Goal of Lesson: To build a fort that will last
Learning Skills: Learn the force of gravity and how that affects objects
Materials: large blanket, anything around the classroom that could be used to help build a fort (chairs, cushions, tables, toys)
1. Give students a large blanket.
2. Let them know what around the classroom they can use to build the fort.
Rules for the Fort
1. You may not use your hands to hold up the blanket.
2. Use your creativity to help keep the blanket up. Use anything that you can think of. (Sometimes you can use things that you may not think of at first)
3. The blanket may not touch the floor.
4. To make it more difficult - You can add the challenge of adding another blanket or make it so that the students have to stand inside the fort and have it not touch their head.
