Age Level: 3-4 year old
Goal of Lesson: Have students follow the instructions to make banana bread.
Learning Skills: Grow math skills through reading measurements. Grow literary and listening skills through reading and following instructions. Grows fine motor skills through pouring and mixing.
Materials: 1 ¼ Sugar, ½ cup of butter, 2 eggs, ½ cup of milk, 3 ripe bananas, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 ½ cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of salt, oil, fork 1 mixing bowls , Loaf Pan and whisk/spoon.
*DON'T FORGET TO WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU START*
1. Teachers preheat the oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit
2. Mix softened butter and sugar together in one bowl
3. Add eggs and milk to the bowl with sugar and butter
4. Mash bananas with a fork
5. Put mashed bananas and a teaspoon of vanilla extract into the bowl
6. Add dry ingredients into the bowl: 2 ½ cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of salt
7. Mix all ingredients until well combined
8. Grease/Oil your loaf pan
9. Pour batter into the pan
10. Bake the bread at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes
11. After the bread is cooked let it cool off for 5-10 minutes
12. Cut bread and enjoy!
