This Privacy Policy explains how PrepMeTalk AI handles information when you use the PrepMeTalk AI app and related services. PrepMeTalk AI is designed to keep personal learning data local whenever possible. We do not sell your data, we do not use your conversations for advertising, and we do not store your resume, conversation messages, transcripts, or microphone recordings on our own servers as server-side history. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the app.
Most information you provide in PrepMeTalk AI stays on your device, including your display name or nickname, language preferences, English level, learning goals, interests, daily practice goal, practice progress, completed sessions, scores, feedback results, and app settings. We do not create a user account database for this information.
When you use AI speaking features, your spoken input, generated transcript, AI messages, and session timing metrics may be sent off device only as needed to generate an AI response or speaking feedback. We do not store these messages or audio recordings on our own servers as conversation history.
When you upload or provide a resume, job description, or interview context, the app uses that content to create a mock interview prompt and send it to the AI service so the interview can be personalized. We do not store your resume or uploaded document on our own servers. The app does not permanently save the uploaded resume file in the app. Resume content may be held temporarily in app memory during the interview flow and may be transmitted to AI service providers only as needed to provide the mock interview.
If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond.
PrepMeTalk AI uses microphone access only when you choose to start speaking practice or a live conversation. Audio and transcript data may be processed temporarily by our cloud and AI service providers to generate AI responses, speech practice, and feedback. We do not use microphone access in the background, and we do not store your microphone recordings on our own servers.
We and our service providers may process limited technical data such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, approximate region inferred from network data, subscription status, entitlement status, diagnostic logs, crash information, performance data, and Cloud Function request metadata. This helps us operate the app, prevent abuse, fix errors, and improve reliability. This technical data is not used to build advertising profiles.
If you purchase a subscription, payment is handled by the App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, or another payment provider. We may receive purchase identifiers, product identifiers, entitlement status, renewal status, trial status, and similar subscription metadata. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
PrepMeTalk AI stores profile preferences, practice progress, completed sessions, scores, feedback results, and app settings locally on your device. Resume files and resume text are not permanently stored by the app after upload. You can delete local app data from the Profile section, by clearing app data through your device settings, or by uninstalling the app. Some subscription records may remain with the applicable app store or payment provider.
We use information to provide AI conversations and speaking feedback, personalize practice on your device, provide resume-based mock interview practice when you choose to upload resume context, save local progress and feedback results, manage subscriptions, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, improve app performance, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share your data for third-party advertising. We may send information to service providers only as needed to operate PrepMeTalk AI, including Firebase or Google Cloud services, Google Gemini or similar AI processing infrastructure, RevenueCat, Apple, Google Play, diagnostics providers, and support tools. For example, spoken input, transcripts, conversation text, resume context, and job descriptions may be sent to an AI provider to generate a response, mock interview, or feedback. Subscription metadata may be processed by RevenueCat and the app stores. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
Local profile, progress, completed-session scores, and feedback results generally remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Uploaded resume files and resume text are not permanently stored in the app or on our own servers. We do not keep a server-side conversation history of your messages, transcripts, resumes, job descriptions, or microphone recordings. Cloud providers may process temporary request data, logs, diagnostics, support messages, and subscription records for as long as needed for operations, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and legitimate business purposes.
You can stop microphone processing by denying microphone permission or not starting voice features. You can delete local app data from the Profile section, by clearing app data, or by uninstalling the app. Deleting local app data removes locally stored profile settings, practice progress, completed-session history, scores, and feedback results from the device. You can cancel subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information that we hold. To make a privacy request, contact us at tajinderk696@gmail.com.
PrepMeTalk AI is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their country, unless use is directly authorized and supervised by a parent, guardian, teacher, or other authorized adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child provided information without consent, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no app, network, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of PrepMeTalk AI after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.
