At Sharma Matrimony, we are committed to providing a safe, secure, and respectful platform for individuals seeking matrimonial matches. While our service is strictly intended for adults (18 years and older), we maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We actively work to ensure our platform is never used to harm, exploit, or endanger children.
Sharma Matrimony strictly prohibits the creation, distribution, or promotion of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and any behavior that constitutes Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). This includes, but is not limited to:
Grooming: Befriending or building emotional bonds with a minor to facilitate sexual contact or exploitation.
Sextortion: Threatening or blackmailing a minor using real or alleged intimate imagery.
Sexualization of Minors: Depicting children in a sexual manner or promoting such content.
Underage Marriage Facilitation: Any attempt to use this platform to arrange or facilitate marriages involving individuals under the legal age of 18.
Strict Age Limit: Only individuals aged 18 and above are permitted to use Sharma Matrimony.
Verification: We implement age-gating during registration. Users suspected of providing false age information or being under the age of 18 will have their accounts suspended immediately pending identity verification.
We employ both automated tools and manual moderation to detect and remove prohibited content.
In-App Reporting: Users can report any profile or message that violates child safety standards directly within the app by clicking the "Report" button on any profile or within the chat interface.
Rapid Response: Once a report involving child safety is received, our safety team prioritizes it for immediate review (typically within 24 hours).
Sharma Matrimony complies with all applicable child protection laws, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Google Play’s Child Safety Standards.
Reporting to Authorities: If confirmed CSAM is detected, we will immediately remove the content, terminate the offending account, and if deemed necessary, then report the incident to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant local law enforcement agencies.
In accordance with Google Play policy, we have designated a Child Safety Point of Contact responsible for overseeing our CSAE prevention practices.
