High Alert Drug List ตามมาตรฐาน JCI ได้แก่ กลุ่มยา investigational medications, controlled medications, medications with a narrow therapeutic range, chemotherapy, anticoagulants, psychotherapeutic medications, and look-alike/ sound-alike medications (LASA)

จากตารางรายการยา HAD ของ ISMP ที่ highlight สีเหลืองคือกลุ่ม HAD ที่ตรงกับ JCI กำหนด แต่ใน ISMP ไม่มีกลุ่มยา narrow therapeutic range และ psychotherapeutic ต้องพิจารณารายการยาในโรงพยาบาลว่ามียาที่เสี่ยงสูงจากหลักฐานทางวิชาการ เช่น Haloperidol ที่ทำให้เกิด Extrapyramidal symptoms เป็นต้น) อย่างไรก็ตามโรงพยาบาลต้องพิจารณาจากรายงานการเกิด Adverse Events และการประเมินความเสี่ยงของโรงพยาบาลในการกำหนดรายการยา HAD ของโรงพยาบาลด้วย
