As Pregnant Journal ("Nestling", "we", "our", or "the app"), we value your privacy and the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use our application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect or process the following types of information to provide you with a personalized experience:
1.1. Personal Information
Profile Data: Your Name, Baby’s Name/Nickname, and Last Menstrual Period (LMP) used to personalize your pregnancy tracking.
Account Data (Optional): If you choose to create an account (via Email, Google, or Apple), we collect your authentication details (like your email address) to sync your journal and lists across your devices.
User-Generated Content: Any journal entries, photos, and list items you create within the app.
1.2. Automatically Collected Information & Identifiers
Device & Usage Data: Device model, operating system, session duration, and crash logs to improve app performance.
Advertising Identifiers (IDFA): If you grant us "App Tracking Transparency" permission on iOS, we collect your device's advertising identifier to provide personalized advertisements.
2. Data Storage and Syncing
Guest Users: If you use the app without signing in, all your personal data (Profile, Journal, Lists) is stored entirely locally on your device.
Registered Users: If you create an account, your data is securely synced and stored in our cloud database (Firebase) so you can access it across multiple devices.
3. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate, improve, and monetize our application:
Google Firebase (Auth, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Storage): For secure authentication, cross-device data syncing, analytics, and crash reporting.
Google AdMob: To deliver advertisements. AdMob may use cookies or advertising identifiers to serve personalized ads based on your interests (subject to your consent).
RevenueCat: To manage and verify in-app purchases and premium "Nestling Pro" subscriptions. RevenueCat processes receipt data anonymously.
Apple (Sign In with Apple & StoreKit): To provide secure login options and process your subscription payments.
4. Account and Data Deletion (Your Rights)
We give you full control over your data.
In-App Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated synced data at any time from within the app. Navigate to the "Profile" tab and tap "Delete Account". This action will instantly wipe your account and all data from our cloud servers. It cannot be undone.
Local Data Deletion: If you are using the app as a guest, simply uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored data.
5. Permissions
The app may request the following device permissions:
Notifications: To send you daily journal reminders and weekly pregnancy updates.
Photo Library: To allow you to attach memories and photos to your journal entries.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS): To ask for your consent to deliver personalized ads.
6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Our app offers auto-renewable subscriptions ("Nestling Pro"). All payment transactions are securely handled entirely by Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card information.
7. Data Security
We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Cloud-synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Firebase security rules. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our application is intended for expectant parents and is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page or via in-app notifications.
