Hi can someone tell me a good alternative to mappoint , because mappoint does not have support anymore , the thing is that the people at the offices here are use to mappoint and i dont know if they will ever get used to another software like mappoint , i was thinking since mappoint is not supported anymore is there a chance that microsoft wouldnt ask for a activation on a new instaled mappoint 2013 ?
I was a beta tester when mappoint was first released and always thought it was a great tool for people with simple needs who wanted integration with ms office. I always liked it and used it for various situations. However, it's not a full featured gis app.
My recommendation is to buy maptitude, which is nearly as easy to use, comes with data and maps, and is very affordable, especially for a complete gis. You will amaze yourself and others with the depth of insight you can gain with more advanced tools, and the high quality output will make it easy to tell your stories to others.
