Precision GPS by Jigo (package: com.jigo.precisiongps)
Effective date: August 27, 2026
Summary: Precision GPS by Jigo does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you save in the app stays on your device.
1. Who we are
Precision GPS by Jigo ("the app") is a mock-location utility for developers, testers, and QA engineers. It lets you set simulated GPS positions on your own device using Android's official mock location API. The app is operated by an independent developer ("we", "us").
2. Data we collect
We collect no personal data. Specifically, the app does not:
require or offer any account, sign-in, or registration;
collect your real device location;
collect identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, advertising ID, or device ID;
use analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs;
transmit your favorites, history, routes, or settings anywhere.
3. Information stored on your device only
To make the app work, the following is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:
Favorites — locations you choose to save;
Session history — simulated locations you previously started;
Settings — signal parameters, randomization options, theme, and route points.
You can delete this data at any time from within the app (for example, removing favorites or clearing history) or by uninstalling the app, which removes all of it permanently.
4. Network requests (terrain altitude lookup)
The app has one optional online feature: automatic terrain altitude. When enabled, the app sends the coordinates of the simulated location you selected (not your real location) to the public Open-Meteo elevation service (open-meteo.com) to look up the ground elevation at that point.
The request contains only latitude and longitude of the simulated point — no identifiers, no account information;
it is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS);
we do not store these lookups on any server of ours (we operate no servers);
results may be cached locally on your device to reduce repeat requests.
If you prefer, you can switch off "Automatic terrain altitude" in the Controls tab and enter altitude manually — the app then makes no network requests at all.
Map tiles displayed in the app are loaded from the OpenStreetMap tile service, which receives standard technical request data (such as IP address) as any website does. See the OSM Foundation privacy policy at osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
5. Permissions the app uses
Location — required by Android to inject mock locations through the official mock location API. The app supplies simulated positions; it does not read or record your real position.
Notifications / foreground service — shows a persistent notification while a mock-location session is running, so its status is always visible and it can be stopped at any time.
Network access — used only for map tiles and the optional altitude lookup described above.
The app functions only if you explicitly select it as the mock location app in Android Developer Options. Android visibly flags every injected fix as a mock location; the app never conceals or bypasses that flag.
6. Children
The app is a developer/QA utility intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children — as stated above, we collect no personal information from anyone.
7. Data sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with third parties — we have none to share.
8. Data retention and deletion
Because all app data lives only on your device, you are in full control. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all favorites, history, routes, and settings. No deletion request to us is necessary, as we hold no user data.
9. Security
The app's only network communication uses encrypted HTTPS connections. All personal-preference data remains in the app's private storage on your device, protected by Android's application sandbox.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy (for example, if a future version adds new features), we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
