PrayFirst ("the app," "we," "us," or "our") is developed and published by Sevenfold Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how PrayFirst handles your information. Our approach is simple: PrayFirst does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
The short version: We do not collect personal data. We do not require an account, login, email, or password. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising. We do not transmit your prayers, journal entries, streaks, or settings to us or to anyone else. Everything you create in PrayFirst is stored only on your own device.
Information we do not collect
PrayFirst is built to protect your privacy by design. We do not collect or have access to your name, email, phone number, or contact information; your location; your prayers, journal entries, moods, streaks, or prayer history; the list of apps you choose to guard; device or advertising identifiers; or any usage analytics. Because we operate no servers that receive your information and the app makes no network calls to transmit your content, we never see, store, or process this information. There is no account system, so there is nothing for us to hold about you.
Information stored on your device
To make the app work, PrayFirst stores certain information locally on your device only, using your device's private app storage. This includes your chosen name for the greeting, the apps you select to guard, your prayer times, your streaks and prayer history, your journal entries, and your app settings. This information never leaves your device through the app. It is not sent to Sevenfold Studio or any third party. If you uninstall the app, this information is removed along with it.
Device backup
If you have enabled Android's built-in backup feature on your device, Android may include PrayFirst's local data in your own private, encrypted Google account backup. This is a function of your device and your Google account, not of PrayFirst. We do not control, access, or receive this backup. It exists only so your prayer history and journal can be restored to a new device if you choose. You can disable backups at any time in your device's system settings.
Permissions the app requests
PrayFirst requests certain Android permissions strictly to provide its core feature of pausing guarded apps for a moment of prayer. These are used only on your device and do not transmit information to us. Usage Access lets the app detect when you open an app you have chosen to guard, so it can show the prayer pause; this is read on-device only and never transmitted. Display over other apps lets the prayer pause screen appear. Notifications let the app show your optional morning verse reminder and gentle return reminders, generated on your device. Run at startup lets your prayer times and reminders continue working after your device restarts.
Payments and subscriptions
If you choose to subscribe to PrayFirst Premium, your purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Sevenfold Studio never receives or stores your payment details, card numbers, or billing information. Any data related to your purchase is handled by Google under Google's own Privacy Policy and terms. We receive only anonymized, aggregate information from Google Play about subscriptions, which does not identify you personally.
Children's privacy
PrayFirst is appropriate for users of all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because we collect no data at all, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Third-party services
PrayFirst does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data-collection services. The only third party involved is Google Play, and only if you choose to make a purchase or use your device's backup feature.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Because the app collects no data, any future changes will be limited in scope.
