Data Wrangling

Ensuring quality control of hydrological data is a key issue in the field of hydrology owing to data scarcity, erroneous data, and the accuracy and precision required for the application of such data.

Data Wrangling aims at exploring your skills on data science for hydrological data pre-processing.

Eligibility: This event is open to all. 

Team Size: 

1. Maximum of 4 members. Individual participation is also allowed. 

2. The participants of a single team need not be from the same college. 

3. Each Team needs to have its own team name, and team leader.

1. The event shall be conducted in two phases: 

• Each team report as asked in the problem statement

• Shortlisted teams shall give a brief presentation of their work, explaining the methods used, and steps followed during the Techfest [online mode]. The teams shall keep themselves ready for a small Q&A session.

2. The judging panel shall consist of professors from the Department of Hydrology. The decision by the judges shall be considered final and irrevocable.

Result of Preliminary Round : March 20th 11:59 PM IST

1. Preliminary Round (Abstract Submission) : Selection of Data-Driven/Statistical methods for data pre-processing and presentation of results(how informative the graphs are), shall be given higher preference.

2. Final round will be evaluated as :

• Presentation (40% weightage)

• Q/A (60% weightage)
