Pratik Misra

Welcome to my page ! 

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the State University of New York at Binghamton. 

Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics at the Technical University of Munich (2023-2025, working with Mathias Drton) and at the Department of Mathematics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2021-2023, working with Liam Solus). 

My research interests are Algebraic geometry and Combinatorics and its applications in Algebraic Statistics, Causality and Phylogenetics. I completed my PhD in Mathematics in May 2021 from North Carolina State University, where my advisor was Seth Sullivant.
